Was looking forward to trying this but I can get 20lbs of Purina vs 3lbs of blackout for the same money. I appreciate the effort you guys put in but think I'll stick with what has been working for years.

I do the same thing with canned dog food. Works for pin fish in salt and crawfish and perch in freshwater.

3 or 4 foot max, any deeper and the pins will just swim down and out from your net because it takes longer to sink, you can catch some in deeper water, but you will maximize your time in that 3 to 4 foot range
