Dude I feel ya! I’ve been slowly working on my 120 for the past 10 months. Built the stand myself. Found a used 120 for 100 bucks. Drilled it myself. Working on the canopy now. Have my overflow but need to get it installed. Built my sump from my old 30 long cichlid tank that I broke down 7 yrs ago. Got a used skimmer off eBay for $80 and added a sicce pump to it, again from eBay. Right now trying to decide what lights to go with. I’ve been back and forth on halides and T5’s vs LED’s and T5 combo. If there is one thing you Lear from this hobby, it’s patience. LOL

Awesome video. I really want to get a Purple Tang one of these days. When I upgrade my tank to a bigger size I’ll have to consider it. Love the mystery wrasse. I have a couple other wrasses in my tanks. The bird wrasse and the Melanurus wrasse are my favs!!

Great video as always Jeff! How about an update on the pico in the next vid? I started up my 10g nano after watching your pico tank start up and stocking vids. Really would like to see how it’s progressing. Don’t need a dedicated vid of it, just would like to see its progress and how it’s going. And maybe one day do a vid on your struggles and successes with it.

Maybe a good idea to go for 180 as well as that’s what I plan to do and I have followed your previous video and that’s where I had learned about the Royal Gramma and I am very happy I made the decision buying that fish. Lots of personality.. thank you for all that you do..

I have multiple tangs on my tank and I don't have any problems with them you just have to have the right aquascape and make sure you feed them well, also it helps that you have plenty of space for them to hide and feel like there home.

After the Hawaii ban and tariffs, I said screw it with the yellow tang, the only tang more expensive is gem tangs.

Love the lists! How about top ten fish bought as beginners but become regrettable buys as you progress in the hobby. i.e. fish that hide all the time in bigger tanks with bigger fish.

Do you buy most of your fish from Live Aquaria? I notice you almost always use their website photos when selecting fish for these videos

I’m going for a non-standard tank (custom made): 160cm x 60cm x 45cm (64” x 24” x 18”) so 114 gallons, let’s just round that to 120. Can I do 3 Large fish? 1 Yellow Tang 1 Tomini Tang / One Spot Foxface 1 Yellow Pyramid Butterfly The rest of my fish will be 5” and smaller.
