This is one of my top mobile games because of how free to play friendly it is (mostly). Spent about $5 on it in all my years playing, and I've managed to pull or evolve roughly 18 diamonds, along with pulling about 2/3rds of the entire catalogue. For me, one of the big reasons it's stayed among my top mobile games is because of how fun the core gameplay is, and how much it rewards time put in the lab. Even in getting my ass beat by far higher level players in PvP (and how unrepentantly laggy it can get), I still manage to learn from my losses, and learn how to make their combos my own

I downloaded Skullgirls mobile around 3 or 4 years ago and didn't think too highly of it. Then after a year, I decided to give it another chance and MAN. I enjoyed the hell out of it. I was such a fan, I got 2nd Encore for PS4 and Switch and I've been a Skullgirls fan ever since.

But with the charter rank numbers/difficulty bar, the best way to earn xp is to play while its almost all the way to the right, if not completely. Its the best way I've found to grind, and I don't want to say you have to "git gud" but ye, you just gotta find your fight style... again.... and then you'll ranking on them plebs in no time. This certainly is a unique mobile game. Though I feel if we were getting more fighters after Annie a new game would be more likely.

I'd like to mention a few things, since this guide has gotten a little outdated in recent time. First, they not only added Annie of the stars but they also threw in Parasoul's little sis: 'umbrella'. The former has her daily event on sundays and the latter on saturdays Second, the daily events have changed from specific missions like 'fight with this team comp' or 'win X fights with this character' to a meter you fill up with points you earn from doing literally ANYTHING in the game (seriously, they give you points just for logging in and playing any available game mode) which is far easier than before.

Bro, if you struggling with any kind of event just go with this(for me it works) Hellcat fortune with the heal marquee for damage dealing Understudy cerebella because she gain armor pretty free and the ace in the sleeves bio squigly

I loved playing Skullgirls mobile back then! Would play it a lot during class and in lunch when I was in highschool. Good times. Made it to Max level as well and yeah it was a fun time. I moved away from it though because it's a lot grinding so yeah. Then I got into 2nd Encore and tbh I enjoy way more than mobile. But who knows, maybe someday I'll come back to Skullgirls mobile, but for rn, I'm basically done with it. Great video!

Been a fan of Skullgirls since it first came out, adore it on PC. Got Mobile after Umbrella came out. And she was my 1st gold fighter. She is DEMENTED!!

Been a returning player, still quite confused with how things work out. But overall? I really enjoy it! Big Band definitely my preferred fighter because he's so badass albeit calmer. Lesson learned, collect as many fighter card as much as you can, they'll help you in the long run... Evolution is like a bait and switch. 7,5 out of 10.

Tbh the game is super fun but like the odds for a gold/diamond is just too low. It's that or I have horrible luck

Imo, it was fun for about a month, but then everything just started to feel repetitive, like, there arent any new maps or events, just harder versions of the same ones amd the rewards for beating them doesnt even feel worth it. The weekly character events are cool and all, but after doing them 3-5 times i got super bored and started not even going into them, specially after getting most if not all gold moves for everyone. Those special events where you make your defending team then fight other peoples teams is a Nice mode, but the threshold are really high for some of them. The rift mode had the best concept in my opinion, make your own maps abd fight other peoples maps, but the execution was unbalanced as hell, i kept getting paired up with people that had 7-10k+ diamonds, so, with my teams of 2k~ gold and silvers, i could beat some nodes that had 1 7-9k diamond, but some of them just felt impossible. The gacha element feels really unfair with those 0.5, 3.0 drop rates, but you can get diamonds and golds without wasting your money... With A LOT of work but you can.

Had to get my mom to pay for and didn’t care which I got but low and behold it was a “Xenomorph” Double. Also felt your pain with “That’s All Folks!” Peacock but also have yet to beat “Raw NERV” Painwheel because I did it after I evolved my Painwheel from bronze.

You dont need money at all to progress in this game. I got to Diamond 1 rank in old rifts without spending a penny. You pretty much get to the top in a year. Amazing video btw, great job.

You can pay ALL the money in the world, but fighters need experience to level up anyway, and you level up easily... Up to level 30 Try leveling a diamond to level 60, even with XP boosters and resetting his energy over and over, it will take AGES

Just downloaded it yesterday and I was locked in all day. Sheesh. Sooooo addicting.

I'm always surprised by how little this game has effected the reputation of Skullgirls as a whole. Like I get that you CAN play without paying but they make it pretty clear that they would prefer if you did. Personally the energy system is what killed the game for me. While there are a lot of games with much worse energy systems, this game just really didn't need one in the first place.

I've had sgm for about a year now.... I main big band. Invented (I think) a broken combo with him and haven't spent a cent on the game. (I am being 10000000000000% serious) Also wow salty, best tutorial vid I've seen since how 2 hero by albinovevo.
