Online and local pet stores often sell us items that are thought to be safe for birds, but in reality many things that are marked as safe for birds, aren't really safe and some can even be dangerous and deadly.
It's our responsibility to handpick very carefully what enters our bird's cage and what doesn't.

I'm glad that you mentioned nest boxes, many people think that their birds are going to sleep in it but totally wrong. I saw many people placing nest in cage of 5-6 months old budgies 🙄After bird lays an egg, they're like "what should I do, my bird is laying eggs... "

It's annoying that companies sell things that supposedly made for birds but at the same time some things are just a huge NO for birds! Just imagine how many people are buying stuff like mirrors and sleeping tents and risking their parrots just because there is a parrot on the product package 🤦‍♀️

Yes I just learned this about the bells all three of my budgie have bells in there cage luckily they don't play with them to much so I should be able to remove them

really also depends. its like children, some get addicted some dont. i have mirrors, a bell and a tent. they barely use it. if anything they use it as a jungle gym more, to traverse through there cage. have had it in there a couple months aswell. so far no no dmg on the tent. they rarely stare at the mirror and since its a mirrored basket ball hoop they just stand it and look my direction most of the time. i feel if your birds " use it" ina healthy way then i think its fine up until you see dmg or behavior issues then take it out.

My budgie arrived! He is a month and we named him Richie. Your videos helped, I think since Richie is very little he wasnt scared to snuggle in my hands! Thank you, I followed the steps of your taming budgies videos.

I had the same pair of budgies like Salvadora and Skip. The same blue colour and the same cuteness. But once my dad as usual was cleaning there cage and my bird which looked like Salvadora flew away. Since then whenever I look at you intro I miss her and it makes me very sad. But the videos are very informative for me and entertaining for my budgie which looks like Skip. Thank you for posting videos. It's the only thing which has kept my bird from being depressed. P.S: I am getting my bird another one soon!

I had a tent 3 years ago and one of my birds was pregnant it choked on the cloth from the tent material . As she was chewing on it a lot . I was so sad I never used a tent again

When he was little, I bought my budgie a toy that had a bell. One day, he happened to hook his claw into that bell ring attached to the toy. Fortunately, I was able to free him. So BE CAREFUL!

I had a mini carbored ring box before in my cage , I used it as a shredding toy and they would tear it around but it was never small enough to swallow, is that okay or not , because I had it when I was breeding 2 of my birds since I my dad was a perfesanal breeder , I just wanna know if your alound to have carbored or paper as a shredding toy, if not its okay since I haven't used it for 2 years now,

Paint on toys when its wet can kill your parakeet and their health and I got 3 parakeets and I always take care of them and check on them and They love eating nutriberries mixed with seeds and they are smart, funny, attentive, affectionate, and sometimes noisy if they needed food, communicating other wild birds outside, having conservation with my family. Their names are Remy, Carrie, and Sylvester.

My budgie was injured and I took it to the radiologist. Thank God he did not have a broken leg, but he had Mild airsacaltis . "There is mild increased radiopacity in clavicular airsacs " I do not know the reason for this at all because I do not smoke or put perfume or anything next to it. The veterian wrote 4 sessions of nebulizer. But since he has never show any symptoms, I do not know, he is fine or not now. Is a nebulizer a definitive and good treatment? Is there a natural cure for prevention and treatment for airsacaltis ?

I just got four baby budgies. Could you make a video on some tips and tricks like what to feed the babies and and how to take care of them? Is there a specific way to teach them to be nice and introduce them to other birds of different species? Also I don’t know if you have Indian ringnecks but my two who are kept seperate from the budgies are getting ready to breed and the female is already beginning to nest should I leave them alone and let them do their thing?

My Budgies have a coconut, but they almost NEVER use it. We also had a mirror but took it away because Cooper wouldn't leave the perch and now that it's gone she's been so much better. We've only had them for about a month now, and my siblings aren't that interested in them anymore, but when i come home from school i always make sure i try to spend time with them so they get love and attention. i also talk to them is that weird?

My bird sometime thought it was another bird at the mirror so it thought it was a another friend so it did was fly but it hurt itself and then the next time the bird learned to never crash again to mirror.

I have a young budgie and at night it gets a lil chilly in my house do I bought him a warm sleeping hoodie. Now it seems he has fallen in love with it. He is always snuggling with it, he gets on top of it and I think he’s trying to mate with it. Is this something that is bad? Bell’s are very dangerous my cockatiel got his beak caught the bit in the bell got stuck inside his beak had to use pliers to break bell to get at bit stuck inside of beak a nightmare 10min I thought I was going to lose him took him a while to calm down doing well now be careful

Good point, their nails do get caught on fibers and cloth which is also extremely dangerous.

Salvador you said grabbing birds could be losing their trust in an instanst so what do you reccomend doing when our non able to fly budgie goes out of it's enclosure?

In such cases I would say that not much can be done and grabbing is the best option, but it's best to stay away from situations like that.

Hi, i have a question about small platforms, are they an ok to use? i just want my birdbath to be able to "sit down" without its in the bottom of the cage or hanging from the cage, i just want an experts pov on if its good or nah, nice videos!!

I have a question tho what if you put a handmade tent inside the budgies cage? 🤔🤔🤔Because I gave my budgie my handmade tent with a sock but if you reply I will definitely remove it now

Socks are usually made of fiber that they can swallow and have the same reaction like the tents you get from the store, unfortunately. Maybe you can try to create the tent from a different material that is safer, one that is not chewable.
