The P2 is the Salvagnini compact panel bender for lean, flexible production. In this video, the P2 bends automatically, in less than 2 minutes, an electrical box of mild steel sheet 2 mm thick.
This is a kit production typical of the electrical industry. From a single flat part, thanks to the CUT option, we produce 5 bent parts: the electrical box, 2 edge profiles, and 2 stiffener profiles. The operator finally assembles the electrical box in masked time.

The folding and shear is cool and all, but that corner detail on the front is more difficult to seam weld and dress nicely than a straight open corner.

Hi Snozzcumbers, thanks for your feedback! This is just a demo kit, showing the capabilities of our P2 panel bender featuring the CUT option. But we can assist our customers in the redesign of their products, to make the most out of our technologies and simplify any downstream machining - such as welding!

This cad design is revolution in my opinion who hager group do it first less welds, less sheet metal

Thanks for your thoughtful and interesting comment, Dimitris! 😉 Among the many advantages of the panel bender is that it allows many products to be redesigned. Panel benders eliminate multiple downstream processing, such as welding and riveting. Hence, redesign can both optimize production processes and reduce consumption.
