Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes confront John Walker and insist that he surrenders the shield, as he is not worthy of being Captain America. Walker refuses, and a fierce fight ensues, in which Walker destroys Falcon's wingsuit, rendering it useless. Sam and Bucky manage to overpower Walker and wrestle the shield from his grasp, breaking his arm in the struggle.

Sam didn't feel worthy. It's understandable. John Walker on paper was the better candidate but again if you remember the first Captain America movie they also wanted to give the super soldier serum to the guy who was "better" but he was corrupt. Kind of like Walker.

@@HIWHYAIWYAGD bro what 😂? Bucky as winter soldier easily overpowered cap who later could hold back thanos would was trying and even took a blow from a bloodlusted thanos who left no marks or scars. Cap went toe to toe with ultron who is above the flag smashers untrained teens 😂. Cap casually overpowered aliens and defeated ironman with the help of Saturday (they were reading his movements and fighting style). A weaker winter soldier easily overpowered cap and damaged irons armour (which is made up with golden titanium) and was almost as skilled as cap. Later he got a vibrantium arm. In the fight with Walker he was clearly holding back and just wanted to take the shield. Walker was trying to kill him and falcon as was struggling with a 1v1 with Bucky while holding back he said he didn’t want to fight and had many chances to end Walker. When they broke his arm Bucky could had ended him, when he was knocked out Bucky could have killed him I mean come on Walker has nothing on Bucky honestly if Bucky tried he could neg diff Walker.

Nor for nothing the very episodes show you how Walker Super Soldier overpower Bucky ALL THE TIMES and was not even feeling the hits from the girl villain super soldier. Even as a human was already taking in super soldiers because he was human peak. Which is not the case of normal human Bucky and weak human Steve without the serum.

You can tell how Since it is Bucky in the fight he is holding back. If he was still the Winter Soldier he could have taken down Walker solo without breaking a sweat.

they all held back in the beggining. They didnt want to kill each other. Walker is the only one that during the fight lost his grip on reality and clearly would kill Sam during the end of the fight, if Bucky didnt stop him. Winter Soldier probably would kill Walker, but if Walker was also intending to kill Winter Soldier... Dont know. Walker is a bit weaker, but after all - he is a specialized soldier, now infused with serum as well. There is not much apart from metal arm and bit more experience on Buckys side and on other hand Walker is clearly a bit insane and unpredictable. Depending on circumstances, or their rage, either one could take the fight tbh. But yeah, I would lean into Winter Soldier's side as well. He achieved much more so far. My point is that we just havent seen Walker do much yet. Im interested to see Thunderbolts in 2 years

The Serum amplifies everything u are. Including the PTSD and fight or flight in an army ranger veteran. Taking that into account John was in the right. The dude he killed tried holding him down so his boss could kill John and then she killed his best friend that he’d known since he was 4 years old. Yeah bucky isn't holding back He is just shit now They had to nerf him otherwise the flagsmashers couldn't ever be a realistic threat against him....writers want to ignore that bucky has 60+ years of experience on them Also...why doesn't he have a gun? Why do none of them have guns? The serum never made any of them bulletproof...the entire conflict of the show is over if at any point in time any of these 3 military vets remember the many guns they have access to and just shoot the murderous terrorist in the head

I hate the writers in this show! They try to write Walker as a bad guy but make a great character instead, then they make sam and bucky two of the biggest jerks I've ever seen! Walker was trying to team up since day 1! But no! He's not Steve so I got to treat him like shit! Even here while fighting Walker says "we could've been a team." WTF! If Sam and Bucky had listened to John from the beginning, Lamar wouldn't have died. In the end, Sam praised Karli, a known terrorist for killing innocent people, as if she was a saintess but completely forgot Lamar, a son and good soldier who fought for his country. Walker begged Sam to help him stop the terrorists from the very beginning and they didn't do shit. When Lamar died and Walker acted out of grief and killed a super-serum'd terrorist, that's when they decided to act. Sam and Bucky are complete arseholes in this show. John Walker deserves to be praised and shield should have stayed with him. Now, when i see that shield with Falcon, i will remember him praising a terrorist and forgetting an honest soldier with a good family.

FINALLY a sensible comment. Everyone else talking about John being corrupted or whatever, like did we watch the same show? The guy he killed 100% deserved it, John has consistently been the most reasonable person but punished/humiliated by everyone regardless, and he’s STILL a good guy by the end. Fuck Sam and Bucky.

When people tell themselves John Walker did nothing wrong then they clearly don't understand what it means to be captain america. It's not about being an american soldier like John Walker is. Truth be told, John is the reason Lamar died. Even if Karli had been stopped, the other Flag Smashers still would have attacked. Everyone keeps looking to John as a hero, but he definitely had flaws from jump: his ego & ultra patriotism had him so consumed that he couldn’t protect his non-super serum friend. John went to use that shield on Sam quite a few times in the same way he killed Nico (the Flag Smasher), and Bucky saved him every time. If anything, that infuriated John even more. Survivor's remorse is no joke. John is more like Karli than he realizes.

I don’t know how much it matters, but we did just see John take down a group of super terrorists. He was already a good fighter before the serum, now, he’s fighting with anger behind it, he wants to get the ones that took his friend from him. Steve was weak before the serum and it made him strong. John was already strong before the serum, so think about how much more powerful he would be now. We saw Steve go toe to toe with Bucky and nearly lose. I would say it makes sense that Sam and Bucky struggled here.

That part @0:52 🤨why does Bucky arm absorb the contact of being thrown against the wall? Like how exactly does his vibranium work. At no time in this series did i ever see his arm absorb and or distribute kinetic energy? It disappointing, especially when you think of Villains like claw, that vibranium forearm turnt into also anything. John Walker is NOT superior to Steve in MCU, there's no proof that the serum he took is stronger. Walker got beaten by Bucky who holds back and freaking Falcon. Steve fought guys like Black Panther, Spiderman, Iron Man and even Thanos. Do the math.

When Steve throwed the Shield he does it with full control of his strength and not out of anger, while you can clearly see walker throw the shield with all his might and anger in that scene. 2. At the beginning of the fight you can clearly see Bucky is focus on getting the shield and not actually trying to fight Walker. Hence he was caught off guard when Walker throws it with all his might.

That scene where the Avengers went back to the past, Rogers met and fought his younger self, so yes, that's 2 Captain America in one timeline. Then, after Cap went again to return the stones back in their respective timelines, he went to 1949 to live out his life with Peggy, thus creating an alternate timeline where he lived happily while his 1949 version is still stucked in ice. Rogers stayed with Peggy and grew old together in that alternate timeline until her death. Afterward, he traveled back to his original timeline in 2023, arriving just as his past self left to return the stones. So yeah.

If Bucky didn't hold back, Walker would have died in less than 2 minutes. Walker is a very skilled guy. Perhaps one of the best human combatants in MCU but he's no match for Winter Soldier himself. Bucky could have single handedly stopped Flag Smashers and Walker if he went Winter Soldier mode

Wrong, Walker without serum was already fighting super soldiers. Human peak Walker > Human normal Bucky > Human weak Steve. Better super serum Walker > Bucky with bad serum = Steve with good serum.

I find it so interesting that a lot of people love John Walker and I really just don’t like him. His character is pretty good but I just don’t like him. He’s trying his best but..they put the shield in a museum on the request of the man given the shield. Why make a new Cap?

It makes zero sense that John isn’t a super soldier yet has super strength abilities/speed/recovery- yet Bucky who IS a super soldier (has beaten multiple MCU characters) and yet can’t solo this guy? How the hell did he pull off Sam’s vest/suit like that? It’s just so unrealistic to me imo.

@@SinisterMinister616 Bucky is basically Sasuke. When he was Winter Soldier mode he could take on pretty much anyone. But now that he’s turning a new leaf, he doesn’t seem as a powerful as he once was. I’m sure it’ll come back though for Thunderbolts
