Heya! It's been quite some time since I last uploaded a vid. Truthfully, with everything going on with the virus, I hadn't had motivation to really do much. It's just been difficult to get into the right headspace to focus on editing. But I think I'm finally starting to come out of it. Anyway, I heard this song and it reminded me so much of Sam and Cas's parental feelings towards Jack. They are his only parents as far as I am concerned.

For me, Sam and Cas have always been like Jack's parents. Dean always seems to be like an Uncle for Jack. Sam and Cas have ALWAYS been in Jack's corner (except that one time that Sam let himself be manipulated by Dean and that stupid Ma'lak Box, but let's not talk about that). Sam and Cas have been fighting for Jack his whole life, whereas Dean seems to pick and choose his moments. The three of them have such an amazing relationship and will fight to the end for each other, yet I can't see Dean doing the same thing.

I guess I'm in the minority. I don't see Dean as an uncle or a brother figure. There were times when he seemed to care about him. But the times when Dean treated Jack like dirt outnumber the times when he showed concern for him. When Jack was convenient, Dean treated him like family. But if he was an inconvenience, or if he royally messed up, Dean treated him like garbage and was out for blood. To Dean, Jack wasn't family. I'm glad Sam and Castiel were there for Jack.

Hell yeah. These two are the only ones who matter when it comes to Jack's parents. You think the writers finally realized that, after all the forced scenes between Jack and Dean last season, Sam and Castiel are the only parents who matter? It seems in this season they're not even trying to force that angle anymore. Dunno, maybe it's just me. But it seems like they've given up on that angle from 14x17 when Dean said it had to be Sam who convinced Jack to get in the box. I mean they tried again on the finale with Chuck saying that Dean was like a father to Jack. And it's like.... Chuck, I know you're God and everything but you've gotta be kidding when you say Jack's like Dean's son (he got the wrong parent. Imagine that scene had it been Cas or Sam in his place. It would've been even more horrifying and tense) And you know what else? Dean didn't even look bothered by the fact some demon was riding around in Jack's skin while Sam and Cas? They looked horrified and borderline homicidal (demoncidal? Dunno) and like they were going to freaking gank the demon in the most painful way possible. And sorry. I just want to say that the show's been subtly connected Cas and Sam to kids throughout this whole season. In the episode with Garth Sam's the one who stays with the kids which is where he's highly amusing line of 'Big Sam is okay' comes from if I'm not mistaken. It came about because he was trying to calm the children. Don't know about you but it sounds like the writers are sitting these two up for something. Or maybe I'm looking too much into it. Who knows? Your editing is flawless by the way and the song choice was perfect. Awesome video! Edit: And you know what else I realized? In 15x15 Cas tells us that being a father saved him and I just realized. That Cas wasn't the only one Jack saved. And that's God damn beautiful.

Sam and Castiel were surrogate fathers to Jack. To me, Dean always came across as someone who treated Jack as a convenience. You know, when he wasn't treating him like dirt.

YES! I just got caught up. I took a while to be able to watch from episode 15 out of denial that the shows ending... But I saw this video and wanted to watch it, so I went and watched the episodes just so I could watch this video, and it was worth it! I'm really pissed at Dean. I've never really been able to see him as a Dad to Jack, because of how he treated him at the start. I got to the point where I could see him as a cool Uncle, but I've never really seen him as a Father. Now I can barely see him as an Uncle after what's been happening. Sam and Cas, I love how they refused to go along with the whole thing with Jack dying. Like, while they knew it was Jack's choice overall, they looked for another way. They refused to just sit back and watch him die again, they fought to find another way. Because he's their kid and they love him. They've watched him die *twice!* They shouldn't have to do it again... And the fact that Cas and Dean both knew Sam wouldn't be okay with the whole thing, and that's why Cas wanted to tell Sam and why Dean didn't. It's telling. As is Dean literally pointing a gun at Sam... I've lost basically all respect I ever had for Dean, and I find that I don't care about his feelings or storyline much at all... I get that he feels trapped and that he needs Chuck gone or whatever, but come on! I mean, Sam's *always* felt that way, because of Yellow Eyes and Lucifer, and then Chuck, that's all I could think through Dean's rambles about control and all that, oh, *and* because of John and Dean in a way. He never felt he could be his own person because they always told him hunting was the only way. I mean, in the flashback in episode 16, Dean outright called Sam and dumbass and told him he could never get into College, and it wasn't even in that teasing way that brothers sometimes do, it was downright mean. So yeah, Sam and Cas are Jack's parents and Dean can honestly just leave the Bunker for all I care. If I were Sam and Cas, I wouldn't want him around right now... Whether Jack survives or not, I would not blame them for either wanting Dean out of the Bunker, or them leaving themselves...

Owww you really had to come for our hearts, huh? I'm STILL not recovered from the episode and how much Sam and Cas love Jack and how pissed I (once again) am at Dean. Like after this episode as far as I can tell Sam and Cas are the only parents Jack has. Dean... just doesn't scream father figure to me. Family, yeah, but not father figure. Does any of that make sense? -also you just made me want to make a jack vid but i have too much school stuff a;lskdjaljfdgj-

I totally agree yeah it was Sam and Cas that were most concerned with Jack. Cas gave his life for Jack basically which is the reason that he was in the position of going to the Empty in the first place. Cas went against Dean for Jack. Sam cared deeply for Jack due to he identified with him. He Stuck up for him and care for him and tried to let him know he was important to himself and Cas. They definitely both loved Jack very much This was a fantastic video. thank you for it. Loved the relationship that both Cas and Sam had with Jack

I don't know how after lines like "Jack is gonna kill himself and I should just shut up about it?!" "You want me to say that I'm cool with losing him? 'Cause I can't do that " "He's our kid!" People still say Sam was like an uncle to Jack like...what??? Like I get it you like destiel but separate them for a moment and realize Sam was much more of a father to him than Dean. One fought relentlessly for him while the other wanted to kill him more than once. This is a beautiful video and I love you so much for making it because it shows just how beautiful and underrated their relationship as a family is.

I'm a Destiel shipper & Deangirl but you're so right. The only relevance between Destiel & Jack was the fact that Cas cared about Jack because of Dean as he said, &, this one is sth he didn't verbally mention, but he definitely watched how Dean took care of his Sammy to learn how to be a parent. Other than that, there was no relevance, like for me Jack was the only family member about whom Sam cared way more than Dean did. Sorry to bother, just wanted you to onow all Destiel shippers are not the same, I, for one, have always tried to see the truth regardless of whom or which relationship (including romantic ones) I favor, & I'm certain I'm not the only one. Sam & Jack is the most underrated relationship in the show.

Dean has lost parenting privileges. Man, I love him but the writers just did him dirty till the very end. They are not letting him grow past his toxicity and it really fucking hurts. Well, they haven't let anyone grow for a while, and considering how the show ended, they seem to not understand the characters at all. They all deserved better.

I agree. From wanting to murder Jack at the start, to never believing in anything, to acting like he doesn't care when Cas confessed his love or pushing him away and saying 'You are dead to me' (I know that he DID care about Castiel and I think that he also loved him because there are thousands of proofs that Dean is not completely straight.) But in the end it doesn't matter what you feel okay? It's about choosing to act on your feelings and making the choice to show people that you care. And Dean never grew out of his toxic self and I hate it.

People are obsessed with Dean and I love Dean but it is true he has the least character development. Sam always gets pushed aside for Dean, Sam was the only one that never wanted Jack dead, but he gets pushed aside because people want Destial with Jack as their kid. I am glad that Sam finally got the normal life he wanted, he got a home, a wife and son. Although I didn't really like the giant family photo of Sam, Dean and their parents as the center piece above Sam's death bed. Sam's wife and Son, Sam and Dean, Bobby, team free will, all of them were more his family than his parents. I don't hate John and Mary but I don't think of them when I think of his family.

@@strangeracademy8266 : Even though I will never believe that Dean returned Castiel's feelings, I don't think it's right to say that Dean acted like he didn't care when Cas confessed his love. I think he was in a state of shock. Not only was Castiel telling Dean that he loved him, but Dean was realizing that Castiel was going to sacrifice himself for him. That's a lot for Dean to process.

Okay after seeing the latest episode the other day, I am so annoyed. I really don't care that these writers had Cas tell Dean he loves him. No...not having it. Sam is a much better person and loves Cas and Jack in a way Dean's just not capable of. I feel like we could make a better story arc for our favorite characters.

@Ann thank you! That's exactly what I think. To me it would be more true if he'd talked about how being Jack's dad has changed him, the depth and love and pride he feels for him before he "sacrificed" himself. Dean hasn't been a worthy person to fall for in a long time. Sam has always had faith in Jack as well. It's why I view him as Jack's other dad. Not Dean. And as problematic as the finale was,I love that Jack got Cas out of the empty and remade heaven together. And I was so dsmn relieved that Cas didn't immediately go looking for Dean. So thank God that.

It was all about catering to the Destiel shippers who don't seem to really care that Dean treated Castiel like garbage from Day 1. You know, just as long as they get what they want. After everything Castiel went through, if he were to end up with someone ... I'd want him to be with someone who deserved to be with him; someone who truly respected him and appreciated him; someone who understood him. Can we honestly say that Dean reached any of those goals? I know I can't.

Well, here's my poor mangled heart now. I hope you're happy! (Seriously though, this is amazing and I love it and YES! Sam and Cas are Jack's dads! End of debate!) I truly love the relationships they both have with him, (as minimal as it can be at times with the way the writing is but ah well. I'll still take whatever I can get.) Thank you so much for making this! It's truly beautiful and heartwrenching and I love it!

@@inthemysteryofyou it is, and for me not even Dean's humor redeems him for me. It makes me wonder if there's going to be Dean's a bad guy angle, but that seems equally unlikely. I mean he is, he's cruel and manipulative now. And if Sam/Cas were to happen I'd be thrilled. As much as I like Eileen, the connection almost seems forced. With Sam and Cas, it's had a more organic development.

I totally agree with you on the Sastiel front. Dean is just a moron now. Sam and Cas are defo Jack’s dads. Maybe they should turn Jack back into a baby and Sastiel can raise him and give him a normal life. The singer of the song is Ruelle ft Fluerie and its called Carry You.

@@alexiscohn386 I feel the same way. I don't even care what happened in this latest episode (yeah I cried) but if Cas was EVER with Dean, it would be so toxic and abusive. Verbally and emotionally, if not physically. IMO, people who thinks it's a great ship must view toxicity as romantic. And that scares the shit out of me for them.

I haven't truthfully loved Dean as a whole character since... maybe season 4. That's where he started to lose me. But I still really loved him and especially his love for Sam up until recently. The way that Dean has treated Jack just... it bothers me a lot. So nowadays, I tolerate Dean and can still get emotional in some of his scenes, but that's about it. I wish the show would let him grow and change and learn from his mistakes. I have major issues with Dean's characterization overall, but that's a story for another day, lol.

No. No, Dean is NOT one of Jack's father figures. From the moment he met Jack, he was out for blood. He saw him as an evil creature, simply because he was Lucifer's biological son. When Castiel was brought back to life, Dean's tune changed and he was all "nicey-nice," where Jack was concerned. He showed concern (Hopefully, *genuine* concern!) for Jack when he was dying, and he reached out to him. When Jack accidentally killed Mary, Dean went right back to wanting to murder Jack. Then he seemed like he forgave Jack, only to revert to his "It's okay if Jack dies, seeing as it'll suit my purpose," mentality in season 15. Then he went right back to being all "nicey-nice," to Jack after he (Jack) became the new God. I think to Dean, Jack was both an inconvenience and a convenience. Given all the horrible treatment Jack received from Dean, I wonder if there was ever a moment when Dean genuinely cared about him. So please, don't elevate Dean to a position that he doesn't deserve to be placed in. He said it himself: to him, Jack was never family. There are only two main characters who showed genuine, fatherly concern for Jack: Sam and Castiel. Dean doesn't deserve to be placed on the same pedestal as those two.

Jack is sam's child . Period . He is not dean's NOT . Sam is more than a father he is like a mom . And Cass is more like a dad (im not a shipper) . Dean is ummm maybe an uncle . İ mean sometimes Sam is much more a parent to jack than Cass .
