Alright so. This video is dedicated to Kristine (CandyCaneCheesecake) because she was my KZfaq BFF during the good old iCarly days. Sorry that I haven't e-mailed you back. I still love you! (Also I just spent time counting & this is officially the 6th video that I have dedicated to her on this channel - clearly I'm obsessed).
It is also dedicated to TheRealKarinaB because I remember that I always wanted to be besties with her and Elssie (ohmygleemew) but I was always so intimidated my their friendship & mad editing skillz lol. (& because I remember exactly where I was when I saw that she had subscribed to me and it honestly remains in the top 5 moments of my YT life).
There are many others tbh. I remember when we were all a cute little community on here. I miss everyone so much!
I have no idea what happened but last week I just started watching a few old iCarly fanvids & then I watched a few episodes and now here we are. I still consider it to be my favourite show. Even though I can sometimes go months (or maybe even over a year?) without watching an episode, it doesn't change the fact that at one point in my life watching it was ALL I ever did. I'm more familiar with the earlier episodes because I didn't really re-watch any episodes from seasons 5-7 back when they came out, but I gave them a chance recently and (of course) they were brilliantly done too. I think when the finale came out I was too caught up in hoping that Sam & Freddie were going to get back together that I didn't really appreciate it for what it was - and I don't think that they could've ended the show better than how it came out.
I read a few of Dan's fun facts again and he mentions that he hopes iCarly will be one of those shows that people can return to when they're feeling down or nostalgic and it will always be that for me. The humour, acting, and writing was so well done, and (as Dan said) iCarly became a part of pop culture in a way that very few "kid" shows have.
PS: Can you believe that it has been 5 years since the last episode aired? :O When the show ended I published a video that was supposed to be part 1 of 10 farewell to iCarly videos & I never posted any others lol so let's just say that this is number 2.
I think that it's kind of obvious that Sam & Freddie were supposed to end up together. I don't know if things were vague in the iCarly finale (I don't believe that Creddie "won" - their last kiss wasn't necessarily romantic as much as it was a goodbye, an understanding, a simple act of love, or a thank you) because Dan was setting up Sam&Cat, but either way Freddie's appearance on the show pretty much confirmed Seddie endgame for me. I remember being confused about this ship for a long time, but looking back it all makes sense :)
PS: I feel like I have to point out that these two have SO MANY "moments" it was impossible to include them all. I even had to extend the song.
PPS: Both the song and the coloring were originally stand-ins but then my progress got too far & I decided to keep them. I seriously considered using Hot&Cold for a sec there. That's what inspired the "simultaneous" part of the vid. It was gonna go with the line 'we used to be just like twins; so in sync' but alas I didn't use that song. Maybe one day. It's perfect for Seddie.
I recently upgraded to a new computer so that I could make videos with more effects without it lagging my SV...except now I can't stop making plain vids only lol. & that's WHEN I'm actually editing haha. I've actually been working on a S&L from TW one but it's been months & who knows when I'll finish that.
