I can wholly appreciate this storyline as many years ago I was sentenced to two years in prison for a robbery I did not commit and served 12 months out of a two year sentence. It was my brother, Tony, who actually committed the said offence. I was only in Strangeways prison in Manchester about two weeks before the infamous riot erupted. I was then " shipped out " to Winston Green prison, in Birmingham, then sometime later, to Staffordshire prison. I was unable to find work upon my release and became an alcoholic. When I was in prison I met quite afew other prisoners who told me they were also innocent and had been wrongly convicted.

I don't really care what anyone says about 2005 and this storyline being so bad in EastEnders and Soap history!! For me and ME PERSONALLY SPEAKING, I say that 2005 was truly one of EastEnders' best years to date. And the events surrounding the aftermath of Dirty Den's murder stood out as one of soaps' best storylines to date of all-time. And the fact that both Peggy Mitchell and the Mitchell Brothers made their epic return during the climax build-up further evolved the interest of the storyline - not to mention the fact that it partly contributed wir3h Johnny Allen's reign of villainy and his exciting war against the Mitchells!!
