I like it that you guys mentioned the wealth of standup comedians. Since Bert and Tom (and Joe Rogan as well) started talking about their wealth, I feel like I am being repelled and have stopped listening to their podcasts. Standup is undoubtedly a very down-to-earth form of art. It's simple and appealing to the common man. Richness is a divider. It creates a division between people, and that's bad for any popular comedy. Like, if I were interested in lots of money, I would have turned to the truly rich novelty people and not the nouveau-riche society. Just a point of thinking for new wealth comedians to consider.

I don't think Schulz or Hinchliffe are Netflix comedians. Schulz has that weird Schulz saves America thing on Netflix, but no stand up. Also that hot blonde who kept telling the story from the book, is basically a younger female version of what Bert does today.

Joe Rogan and his anti Hollywood view probably doesn't help comics who appear on his podcast. Seinfeld having this comedy is the ultimate art and films and TV are compromise also not helpful.

House Of Dragons sucks. I literally forgot until now that I didn’t finish season 1 bc that’s how cheesy, forced, and forgettable it was. I don’t even really remember what happened

It's heavily flawed for sure, but it's pretty good overall and occasionally great. Very few people think it "sucks" except for those with the unreasonable expectations that it will ever reach the height of "Thrones" IMO.

@@cdbarry the show won a Golden Globe and was nominated for several emmys. I've read all the books, I'm harder on the show than most people. You saying it "sucks" is an opinion, not a fact, and it's not an opinion shared by most. Season 2 has a high score for critics and audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. Also "progressive casting" lol the performances are probably the best part of the show. The show is slow and dialogue heavy, probably not meant for people with your attention span.

@@jjg9624 lol it just sucks, you’re clearly a big fan which means obviously you’re going to have a biased opinion on it. Of course you’re going to want to like it, and you need to convince other people to like it to validate your choices and opinion. I have standards tho and am an impartial party with no loyalty to anything but quality, and the show wasn’t good enough to me to convince me to finish season 1. Or even remember the fact that I didn’t finish it bc it’s forgettable. If a show is good I don’t just forget I never finished it. Bohemian Rhapsody won a golden globe and that sucked too so that doesn’t mean anything. You like the show. That’s okay. That’s your right, and honestly it explains that cheesy Jack Sparrow earring you’re rocking lol.

Last week I was just bashing the show for having it's worst episode, this week it arguably had it's best. That is being impartial. I don't need to convince anyone to like it. It's art/entertainment-by it's very definition it's subjective. You throw around the term "bias" without even knowing what it is. You know nothing about my personal taste just like I know nothing about yours outside of HOTD. You don't have a high enough IQ to have a meaningful debate. I gotta be real, that intro is atrocious. Bitmoji visuals and Baby's first piano; lesson 3 for the music. Might as well just spin your logo and beat on a couple instruments while you yell some shit like Rogan's intro and that would be better in every way I think.
