@@Mantrahiroshima the daily show and Trevor Noah can be quite influential on social issues and they have a strong social media presence. But I doubt many people are watching the actual channel on cable TV. Also, what I meant by "being recognized" is that he finally got a Netflix special, his swimmer joke went viral on media and he's starting to become one of the big names in comedy.

I doubt OP is suggesting that Sam is a math wiz or anything like that. Dude can write material at a prodigal rate like his pal Normand. Comedic genius for sure. There aren't many like him.

Love that Trevor really went out of his way here to give it up to Sam and make him feel welcome. The love for a comic who is a student of comedy is awesome. Everyone should listen to Sam and Mark talk through new bits on their podcast, you can see the magic in action. You know how you can tell Sam was meant to be a comic? Look at how uncomfortable he is when getting praise. Thanks a lot dad

It is so great to see Sam Morrill get the recognition he deserves, along with his contemporaries Mark Normand and Joe List. Those guys came up together and all of them have had to fight and claw just to get some attention, all putting out their own specials, doing all the work themselves. It's not an overnight success, it's going on 15-20 years of grinding it out. FINALLY all three are getting attention and you love to see it!

Sam Morril is one of the best comedians at the moment, he has some of the most beautifully crafted jokes, like Trevor said you never know what the angle is until the punchline. If Trevor Noah can find the time he definitely should come on the podcast that Mark Normand and Sam Morril do.

Sam Morril’s show in Royal Oak, MI, March 2020 was literally my last fun night out thing to do for 2 years, because the pandemic hit Michigan right after that. Like 5 days later, everything shut down, we had no idea what was going to happen next. So much fun to see he and Trevor know and support each other.

I like what you said detachment, sometimes we all need that. Nothing is attached to us forever even our body, it will go one day long or less. So we need to learn to release and accept it, that's life, same Trevor said about gogo, we all know one day our love one will go or separate. But it is always hard and pain inside our heart or feel, but if we accept and learn to release that feel that helps us a lot, and help for everything in general for life. Trevor think the beautiful moments with gogo and joy with her, you will not sad anymore. Wish you both full of love and harmony.☺️🙏👍💖

Sam Morril got to keep his content because he uploaded his clips before anyone else. He gives the content. Share the offensive joke yourself before someone else shares it without context and it goes viral. It's a win-win because then if successful, your account is the one that goes viral.

never has that been the storyu on TDS even in Craig Kilburn days. When Jon got rolling iot bacame the plan to have woke writers etc & the host always read their material. Often that reading is reason guest r on the show. I don't totally agree with what u say about the other shows but get ur drift & don't watch enough of the others, TDS has more authors than entertainers.
