If you aren't stealing, then Sam's checking your receipt shouldn't be a problem. It's only a problem to dishonest people and those who have something to hide.

I only scan and go, only go on a Tuesday and it's much faster, granted I'm not there shopping around for BS. I scan the item and put it in my cart repeat a few more times, then as I'm walking to the front I pay and walk to the exit line they scan and I'm all done. 😊

I'm with you on this as Scan 'N Go is the way to go. But i am curious about something. I pretty much keep only one payment method on my app because when i have tried to use 2-3 different payment methods the Scan n Go app just resorts to only one payment method(the original one) It is as though the app can't accept that i would like to use an alternative payment method this time around. Do you have this problem as well?

Not a one because Sam's won't prosecute, for fear of bad press. I work the exit door at Sam's Club and catch about 20 every 4 hour shift!

They've been doing the checking of receipts for decades. What's the big deal.

It's been policy and in the member agreement since they opened in 1983 and as an exit door checker there, I still catch grief every day over it, especially when I catch them (and the ones deliberately stealing are easy to identify from accidental ones!)

I have had mistakes in my check out, so it's okay if they check. I don't want anyone to think that I was trying to steal

Sams is part of walmart,walmarts self checkout sucks doesn't always ring up items when you scan it,the register remote does not always show items correctly and there going to trust something more complicated

I don't steal. I also don't want to have to go to self check out because there aren't enough lanes with employees ( and the wait for an employee to scan your items can be ridiculous), then wait again in another line for you to make sure I'm a good little slave and didn't steal, all while paying for a membership. Humans need jobs!

I don't trust AI. Other news article said AI facial recognition pinned a elderly man for something he didn't even do. I see more flaws in this than advancement in society. It seems like self-checkout seems to be causing more problems then just getting cashiers and receipt checks.
