​@@actingwithjosh1219 Yeah, that's a bit of a shame. In a perfect world, each physical copy would have a code inside that you could input on dndbeyond to gain access to the digital version. But then again, I think you are legally allowed to print (but not distribute) anything you have the digital access to. So technically you can have both digital and physical copies for the price of one, but I'm not sure about the license agreement on that.

@@KubinWielki dndbeyond =/= WotC. Wizards makes profit from the physical copies and dndbeyond from the online stuff, they both have to make profit so you can't expect the online stuff if you have the physical stuff

Yea since DNDBeyond is a separate company or owned by a separate company than D&D, unfortunately, they wouldn't be able to do that. They're just able to license the use. I mean it would be nice if they gave a code in a book, but then they'd be having another company giving you their stuff for free because you paid someone else for it. Back in 3rd edition, they had a character creation cd. I always thought they would expand on it over time. Even then I thought they should have a code in any books you bought to download the additional character options (feats, etc) to the character creation program.

I would say he fed hours and hours of Matt talking on steam into a "siri voice mod" program.... except Matt didn't seem surprised by any of the lines like he did with the shirts and other nonsense Sam pulls. Based on his chill during this, I think he recorded the lines.

Yeah, it's scripted. You know, the ad segment that Sam clearly wrote? That is scripted.

It's semi-scripted. Certain character moments will be planned ahead of time with the DM, or with other players they concern. It's a great way to get the most out of your characters.

It's scripted inasmuch as any D&D game is. DM makes some content that he hopes the players walk into. The players are good people who want to have fun, so if they catch the signals and the incentives are right, they'll usually walk into said content. If the players have an important moment they want explored, they ask the DM about it and he tries to work it in within the next couple sessions if he can find a spot it makes sense. And then there are those times where the incentives aren't right. Or the players go rogue because they think of something the DM didn't. Or a few unexpected dice rolls lead to "oh god, how do we salvage this?" moments. It's just D&D with a really experienced DM who knows his friends - who are professional actors - really well. There's nothing surprising about how neatly their sessions run, but for god's sake don't expect yours to go as smoothly.

@@ErdTirdMans Yeah, I don’t know how people can believe that a 4 hour long session with only a single break in the middle could be scripted. I agree that for the sake of entertainment, there are probably certain things they plan ahead of time. All the conversations and such tho? Definitely not scripted
