they didn't because they just come off the USA Glory Days tour and started the UK one

No they didn't perform because they just finished their glory days tour. They've been touring all year, and have been on 3 tours. They decided to not perform because they need rest 1) for recording their fifth album and 2) because next year they will he touring stadiums across the UK. They need a break, or they will damage their health.
