Katie is his sister. She was killed in a car accident last night. Miss Audrey I guess was his Grandmother. I thought he was saying hold her hand. Katie had a company called Western Jane that made custom t shirts. They are from the Paris TN area.

Shelton is the one who goes by Hank the 3rd. Sr had a daughter (Jett) he didn't raise, she was put up for adoption.

Janette Lampson Seidel He had signed legal papers via lawyers/with his mother and B.Jett the mother of Jett Williams that he would pay all expenses and get B wherever she wanted to go but he was to have custody of the baby. She was born two days after he passed/funeral and Lillie got her. Lillie’s daughter promises Lillie she would keep and raise Jett if she died, but after Lillie suddenly passed, she reneged and put her in foster care, and buried the truth about her father, a conspiracy. Supreme Court ruled saying they’d never seen such acts of illegally hiding a child’s truth and granted her what she was due. Hank wanted his baby. Her name is a tribute to both her biological parents. Hank Jr and family had no idea what had happened bc of the aunt’s actions along with greedy others including the aunt’s.

I am really starting to like Sam a lot. I cant help but give him props for not sticking to the family mold. His new music coming out is a little more on the pop-y side. Not like country pop though. I would VERY HIGHLY recommend his new song You Cant Fool Your Own Blood. A bit of a heartbreaking song, but he can write a song and sure can sing. I would suggest the studio recorded version, but im sure you prefer live. They are good live sessions, i just prefer the full band studio version.

I mean his songs might not match the SOUND perfectly but the lyrical content? Its still pretty raw Songs like Glasshouse Children and Can't Fool Your Own Blood hit pretty good

I’m almost 100% positive he’s from Paris TN. Can’t say for certain that Sam was born in Paris but I could about bet he was born in TN. Hank Jr was living in TN around that time frame. I remember I was a member of he Hank Jr fan club in the 90’s. I called the fan club number before it became a 1-800 number like it is now and this young boy around the age of 3 answered the phone. Come to find out after a lady got on the phone (assuming it was Hanks wife Mary) she said the little boys name was Sam.

See a lot of Lillie in him around the eyes, Hank’s mother, but Hank Sr’s father is where the best looks come from. He was a handsome man, bless his heart. Spend his last days in a hospital from terrible injury and its results.

Sam said in an interview that Tyler Childers was his favorite musician and his biggest influence. This kinda puts me on the fence with young Sam...I mean who is he going to sound like when he finds his own voice? Talented young man but I'm going to withhold judgement until he's a little older and more experienced. I noticed you've only done one song by Sam's big brother...how about "Country Heroes" by Hank Williams III?

I think you're right. I listened to songs from three years ago and his vocals are very different. But thumbs up for a good Tyler Childers impression! I still dig the new sound, but I guess we'll have to wait and see if he's found himself yet!

Hank Jr AND Hank III both wrote songs about Hank Sr. being an alcoholic and painkiller addict. Hank Sr. was a visionary, the Kurt Cobain of Country, if you will (but not scuzzy, EVER!). I think this kid shares his Grandaddy's talent for telling stories that wring your heart out with sorrow, and LOVE. And I didn't even like it that much! Rough diamond. HWSr drew inspiration for his songs from "True Romance" magazines. Pulpy, kinda trashy, they were mainly read by housewives and teenaged girls, but they were very DRAMATIC, usually tragic tales of joy leading to lost love, pain, and sorrow. Hank could relate. THIS guy knows pain, too. There needs to be a family reunion, to let the hurt carry on for another generation is a disgrace.

This song was so good I had to look into it! It’s an ode to his grandparents he never met. He sang about how he wished his grandfather knew that he understood him as well as the wish that his grandmother Audrey was around for his sister Katie to look up to. His music style and emotional vocals are fantastic. Thanks for introducing this one!

Well, the first time thru this song...I wanted to hear "Follow you to Virgie" so much it was distracting. So I left the vid to watch that one. So...after that bad start...this song is good! The beginning feels like he's singing live...does the album version kick in at the 4:00 mark? It feels like one of those Springsteen videos where he sings live even though it's an official video. (Oh...and if he wants to stay a liberal...maybe adding a little bit of Bruce to his vocal style will help him find an audience on the rock side of things?) Hey! Just noticed you're a lefty! At least you play "chickin-pickin'-air-guitar" left-handed...hah...

Actually I'm a righty, but thanks to playing competitive tennis (believe it or not) years ago I developed the ability to bat from both sides of the plate--right side for power, left for average. I had looked into guitar lessons years ago but you're right, I instinctively want to pick with my left, which I later learned was also the way Hendrix played. The instructor told me he'd need me to switch to playing with my right hand if he was gonna be able to teach me, so that ended that endeavor.

I love this song! He dose sounds like Tyler Childers but nothing wrong with that. All of Bocephus's kids have great talent, but Holly and Sam are my favorite. The music/sound and the way the it is written is really good and simple. I really like the music video. I can definitively tell he put much emotion in this song, at least in my opinion. His Cover of weatherman is good too. I think the younger Willams family should have more spot light.

He is the son of Hank Jr's and his present wife i believe. He looks alot more like Hank Sr than any of the other grandkids i believe, Love Holly's music and what i've heard of Hillary, and Hank the 3rds, but not sold on Sams, would have to hear more of it than just this song

I like his voice- the song is piecework- unfinished. He needs some direction. Some structure somewhere, somehow. Maybe with some maturity he'll figure out where he wants to go. Til he does I don't think many will want to follow him.

This is just awful. Where tf is Hank 3?! This kid looks like Jr pre-fall...he's playing the "industry game" like a good boy. Hank 3 is spitting image of Hank Sr and can write songs like both Hank Sr & Jr plus mix in rock, punk and metal. He don't play no industry game.

Sam is obsessed with wanting to be compared to Hank Williams. He used to be on my Facebook friends list and he was always doing split screen of Hank sr n himself and other weird shit to compare himself to H.W. I'd chirp at him every chance I got and he would go back n forth with me. I'd try and bring up Hank iii and he wouldn't even acknowledge it. Lol got sick of him so unfriendly him. He's an oddball.
