This is why I'm a Sam girl! I think people just don't understand him. They think he is selfish because he wanted a normal life but don't realize the reason he wanted a normal life so bad is because he thought he was a freak. He never fit in, he was an outsider. The difference between Dean and Sam is that everyone believes in Dean but no one believes in Sam. No matter what he does he's the one who started the apocalypse even though it's just as much Deans fault. Sam thought he was saving the world. Who would think killing Lilith would be a bad thing? Sams the ”freak, ” the ”monster, ” the warrior with demon blood who takes nothing but crap and still gets up and fights. He spent 180 years being tortured to save the world but no one cares. When Dean tells Sam he’ll die if he finishes the trials and he just says ”so?” it breaks my heart. Do you know why soulless Sam was the best fighter he's ever been? Because for once he wasn't dragged down by what everyone thought of him, about what he thinks of himself. If you think Sam is selfish watch the series again. I guess it just takes a ”freak” to truly understand.

this was beautiful.. Sam is underated in so many ways. HE will ALWAYS be my favorite character of any series... pain changes him in so many ways, yet he still cares for the ones he loves and will do anything to protect. if anything all this pain and guilt has made him so strong. and im not just talking about sam winchester. I think the saddest part of Sam’s life is that no one, especially Dean, understands what it is to be Sam. And he’s still standing. He’s heroic in an extraordinary way. Sam girl forever.

I think the part that breaks my heart the most is when Bobby and Sam are in the salvage yard. Bobby: "We're trying to help you Sam." Sam: *Moves gun so it's pointing at his chest* "Then shoot." That is so sad! He thinks the only way he can be helped is by dying, that shows just how bad things were! But then when he realised Bobby wasn't gonna shoot him in the heart he hit him over the head and ran away thinking that was the only other way... :'(

Shooting a family member point blank with a gun willingly is gonna be harder than you think. Especially when you have been together with them for years and have bonded much closer to them than you ever have with everyone else in your life. The blood on your hands is gonna be much more meaningful than just killing a creature or some random person; a guilt that you can never personally forgive yourself for, maybe even for your whole life.

Seriously. That scene was where I completely and utterly fell in love with him. Even though his entire life is the literal definition of tragedy and would have driven anyone insane and probably evil he is still so freaking selfless and kind and loving ;)

Okay for starters.. ouch. That was tragically beautiful, Sam is my favourite character because he has so many burdens and always means well, I love the storylines that involve him and his trials and tribulation, his battles, his 'demons' so to speak. Oh and he's gorgeous.

I love Dean okay. Really I do, but to say, "If I didn't know you, I'd hunt you." was horrible. Sam believed that he was a monster and Dean practically said 'yeah you are and the only reason why I wouldn't kill you is because you're family'. He straight out told Sam that he was a monster

I’m super late but I see it from a different perspective and he’s basically telling him the truth .. if Dean didn’t know him, we all know damn well he would’ve hunt him if he knew all this demon blood and evil he was supposed to become . After all Dean has seen, he wouldn’t have taken chances ...BUT because Dean is loyal and because he loves Sam more than anything in the world he won’t hunt him.. that’s exactly what family is .. even if it rips you apart but I’m with Dean on this one . Like I understand what he tried to say .as he practically said the opposite . Because he is his brother he won’t do what Dean normally would’ve Done in any other situation also he also points out that other hunters would too .. basically he’s saying thinking like a hunter Dean is pretty sure that others that hold no loyalty to Sam will hunt him down .

But we also must remember that while Sam did drink demon blood, he felt like he had nothing else in this world worth living for apart from vengeance. He felt like he had no one, because to him, Dean was all the family he ever needed. He was never as close to the others as Dean was. He didn't have a gf to rely on like Dean had Lisa. He probably grew apart from Bobby do that he wouldn't have mourned him when Sam was able to bring Dean back, and when the demons refused him, he had nothing else to live for. He gave everything to avenge his brother, the most important person in his life. He did everything for his brother, we could say, even if it meant turning himself in a demon to reach his objective. But Sam never once stopped loving his brother, even if he didn't show it sometimes. He probably hated himself because he knew he was going against Dean's wishes, but he felt like he still had to. Even when Dean was back, Sam still wanted to kill Lilith because I think he still had the fear that she would take Dean away again if he left her alive. If Dean couldn't accept that his brother drank demon blood, I can understand why. But Dean was also a hypocrite because he tortured souls in hell, meaning that both of them could have turned into demons, in two very different ways. I can see why Dean was so angry, but those words were too much. They could have easily switched places, and I believe that Dean would have broken too at hearing Sam saying those words. No matter how much he's disappointed, Dean should have known better than to say those hurtful words. Because in the end, Sam kept those words in his mind and in his heart forever, as we can see from season 9, when he confessed his greatest sins. So, I know what you mean, but those words are just too cruel.

To be honest I would love to see jack help sam with his power cause sam never really embraced himself fully I feel like the writer's forgot that was a huge part of Sam's character it's the reason he's so kind so compassionate he wanted to try his best because he knew that there was something wrong something that made him feel isolated and alone sam doesn't get enough attention he's highly underrated.

Everybody loved dean and acted like he was the most selfless one. But sam was. He made mistakes, and he wasn't normal, but normals overrated. He was a hero and cared so much about other people. He went through so much and I think he really just needed someone to know that even though he was a "freak" he had people who loved him and did in fact belive in him. Definitely love Sam.

This was absolutely beautiful and shows every single reason why Sam is my favorite character of anything, ever. He deserves so much, but gets so little. He has such a good heart despite everything he's been through, and he keeps on being good. The cards were stacked against him before he was even born, and it's incredibly sad. I was getting teary-eyed through the whole thing, but I lost it at "I can't do it without you" and "Nothing is worth losing you." It was so poignant, showing his relationships with Dean, Cas, and Bobby and how they saw Sam as this weak, insecure freak of nature who they cared for but also kept on a short leash because of a destiny he didn't even want. Sam has overcome so much and this was truly a testament to that, so thank you!

To think that Sam kept both the voicemail's words and Dean's words ("If I didn't know you, I would hunt you.") and Bobby and Castiel's words in his mind and heart... They were his greatest sin and he confessed as much in season 8/9... It killed me. He was already on the verge of the void and they unconsciously/unknowingly pushed him inside. He did everything for his brother, because he considered Dean his real family, he was his big brother, his parent, his best friend, his protector... And yet, he was always seen as the freak, the monster, the boy with the demon blood, the boy king, even though Dean tortured souls in Hell, Castiel brought the Leviatans on earth and tried to be the new God, Bobby bet years of his life for the chance of having his legs back, John treated his sons like soldiers instead of children, ruining their childhood to hunt a demon... But no one was ever able to accept him completely without pointing those things out at least once or twice... Sam was always considered as lesser than his brother, both by their father and by the angels... Sam always thought that angels were out to get him and he turned to a demon because she made him think she accepted him for him. I can't even imagine how he must have felt... I wouldn't have been able to stand being near any of them in his shoes, yet he stayed, and he died for them... And yet, he was still the untrustworthy one... The one they had to watch their back from... His life was practically a burned to some (angels in particular)... How could he not break? That's why I'm a Sam Girl, because this man deserves acceptance, forgiveness, love, more than anyone else in this show.

I agree 100% It pains me to see what Sam has to go through and I don't think I'll ever get over the fact that he is so underappreciated and misunderstood. He is such an amazing and complex character and he deserves to just be loved and accepted. I hate how he has been treated not just by characters in the show but by the writers and some of the fans as well. How can people not see what we see in Sam it's so depressing. I just finished the show for the first time and I will forever be a Sam girl, he's the reason I stuck it out till the end even with the declining quality of the writing.

@@isabellaanderson91 Exactly, while it's true that Dean also had to go through literal hell in his life, he also never had to question whether he was a monster since birth or not. Sam always felt like his existence was a sin, something that shouldn't have happened, because of the demon blood and everything that happened after that; and yet, he kept risking his life in every hunt, kept his optimism through the rough patches of life, no matter how much his very soul was hurting. He kept going, even when insults tore holes in his heart and people he cared about died before his eyes, and he never asked anything back, neither gratitude nor recognizance. He was brave and strong, even if his soul was the most fragile and his emotions seemed to be to strong for him to be a good hunter. He's one of the best characters I've ever seen and I truly love him. That's why I'll always be a Sam girl

I'm 100% Samgirl. I always feel his character a lot! Since the beginning he became my favourite. In season 4 I feel desapointed, but I compleatly understood him, so I couldn't blame him for anything.His chracter is strong, he has suffered a lot for deffierent thing and somehow he stills feel Hope. In season 8 I feel him even more. Even Jaredhas "Sacrifice" as one of his favourites. I honestly can't imagine other than Jared playing Sam

IKR! He thought the only way he could be helped was by getting shot in the heart! It hurts so damn much! "We're trying to help you Sam!" "Then shoot!" Bobby is saying that he is trying to help him, then Sam tells him to shoot if he wants to help him! Bobby could never kill either of his boys! I'm pretty sure Bobby's heart broke in that moment too. I wonder if he told Dean about that, or if he decided against it in fears that it'd break Dean too much to know his little brother just asked to die! :'(

sam has been through sooo much shit... s1: nothing much s2: visions, yellow eyed demon s3: finds out he's a special child and the yellow eyed demon has plans for him plus dad told dean he might have to kill sam s4: meets ruby and gets addicted to demon blood s5: still addicted to demon blood and turns kinda evilish s6: loses soul, turns evil s7: wall is broken, goes crazy from devil s8: not much happens to him here, still going crazy from devil. s9: injured badly possessed by angel (angel is bad) s10: haven't watched yet s11: haven't watched yet s12: haven't watched yet that's just SOME stuff that happens to him, not even counting how his brother thought he was a monster, everyone always wants to kill him. people think he screws a lot up and he has done lots of bad shit. i feel so bad for sammy ;(

Dude I'm sobbing, Sam is sometimes underrated. Dean has been through a ton and had to look out for Sam since forever but Sam has also had some huge setbacks and regrets that he still carries with him. I love Sam as a character, Jared Padalecki portrays him super well!!

Even when supernatural is long gone, and when I’m 80 years old and falling asleep for the last time. I’ll still remember Sam Winchester. The boy with the demon blood. I’ll remember how good he was. How kind, and gentle, and beautiful he was. The way he sacrificed everything he ever had to save the people around him. How he saved me. I’ll never, ever let go of Sam Winchester. All I can hope for is that the finale does him the justice he deserves.

This is absolutely beautiful and tragic all at the same time. Sam's such an amazing and multi-layered character, and this video shows that. He has a lot of weight on his shoulders, and you captured that in this video beautifully. It provokes a lot of emotion, and I mean that as a compliment. I can't even find the right words to describe how much i love this video. You captured sam's feelings in every single scene so well and you created a masterpiece. Honestly your video is my favourite video about sam winchester. It made me ache, it shattered my heart but I loved it, I really did. Sam's a really complicated character with a heavy burden on his shoulders and thanks to this video we have an accurate insight of his soul, his mind and all his insecurities. Thank you so much☺

Sam has been hurt more times than anyone can imagine, he's been through so much I can't shake his pain he's hurt and can't anyone understand what he's been through dean was there for him sometimes but he still hurt Sam and Sam couldn't bare it, Its the demon blood, no soul, hell, no parents, his girlfriend dying, hos brother calling him a monster, and being locked up on that panic room, all the deaths he had to witness, but he still had to go through it. It's just sad to witness someone going through that. All he wanted to do was be normal

My sister, Alaina, thinks Sam’s a jerk. I KNOW he isn’t. He’s just misunderstood, confused, broken, and afraid. All he wants is to have something worth life. All he wants is just to be recognized, because no one seems to listen or even try to even THINK about being him. He’s amazing and he handles having dark days more than anyone else in the world can. Change my mind 😇

Sam, the man who died for a world that never loved him. Everyone feels bad for Dean poor Dean he has no one, while Sam has always reached out to him. Dean had Sam, Bobby, Judy, Garth, Ellen, Jo, Charlie and more ready to support and help him if he wants to brood and wallow there is only so much people can do. Dean tells Sam to push everything down, not to talk and than wonders why Sam is keeping secrets from him. Don't get me wrong I love Dean and he has had a brutal life but I don't get why people act like he is the only one who has suffered. Cas played a major role in starting the apocalypse but gets none of the blame. Cas has caused spectacular damage and everyone trips over themselves to make excuses and forgive him. Sam always has good intentions, which does not excuse the bad he has done, but he always tries to fix his mistakes.

I'm late on this but honestly, I love Dean but the way he treated Sam throughout the show upsets me so much, Sam never gave up on Dean, even when he found out Dean tortured people in hell, or when Dean became a demon. But Dean NEVER believed in Sam and always showed it. Dean treated Sam worse then John treated either of them

Yep. Sam never, not once, makes Dean feel the pain of those words. Hell, not even a few scenes after Dean tells him that he has no faith in him, that he knows Sam will turn…..Sam risks the world on his belief that Dean will always do the right thing. It’s honestly so tragic.

The thing about these two is that I feel like when sam went through this, Dean wasn’t there to support him. I mean I think he pushed sam into it, when he called him a monster. They even pointed it out. He pushed sam away.

“Because I’m not clean” If I was THERE I’d give him the biggest hug and tell him he’s perfectly fine the way he is. He’s BEHOND the best character in the show. All he ever wanted to do was be higher than his families expectations but when he did they blamed him for the Apocalypse. Now yes, he did kill Lilith and Lucifer came back. But the thing is, who stopped that? Sam! Because he learnt from his mistake, but they never let him off the hook did they?

It is so heartbreaking to see Sam suffer - it upset me all through seasons 2-5 how harsh they were, how much those words must have hurt him! Because it refers to Sam, too,,his,words of “you never were anything but good“!

I relate to sam on a personal level. I feel I mess up everything I do and most of the friends I have had have left me for other people so I have trust issues with people. I also feel like a freak every time I leave my house. When I started watching spn I related to sam at the beginning, but the more that comes out about him the more I relate to him. This. Im a Sam guy. It hurts that Dean felt he needed to be perfect and had so much responsibility, But Since S2 Sam has been told how evil he is. How much he is a freak, an "abomination" as Castiel puts it. I can't imagine most people expecting you to fail all the time and in the worst ways possible AND yet still be able to keep going and being the selfless, caring person youve always been. Sam deserves so much more than the shows gives.

i started spn when i was way too young and ive been a sam girl since the start. i think hes really misunderstood by a ton of people and i feel sad for him very often. i love dean too of course, but i wish he hadnt been so terrible to sam at times. sam always had hope, believed and forgave his brother, but the same can't be said for dean

This hurts so much to watch... I deal with depression, bipolar and anxiety, I know how it feels to be a freak, how it feels when everyone abondend you, how it feels when you think that the only way out is death...I relate to Sam so much and it hurts to see someone that feels like I do, yes this is just a tv show for many people but to me.. it's way much more than that.. I'm in tears and when I see that Sam is okay and loved it makes me so happy and I belive that one day I will feel like that too..♡

Honesltly i'm so so disappointed they let down Sam's character after s8... i like dean but now i feel Sam's potential is wasted... the boy with demon blood... it's a shame they show him as Dean's brother, Dean's shadow. He deserves so much better.

I will say this once and will continue to say it. Sam is my favorite character. Followed closely behind by either Cass or Crowley. This video just edges into my head why I like him as a character. He has many flaws, but he will never give up on his family. It killed me to see Dean give up on Sam and I can never forgive him for it, but I understand why.

true , from the birth every one used him for the apocalypse. Np one was real in his life. he was surrounded by demons from birth. His friends, teachers. and everyone and those angels who blamed him they were the reason for that apocalypse

Man, most of the time I'm thinking Dean needs to get off that high horse of his, but that purgatory thing Sam pulled was kind of cold, I needed time to recover for that to warm up to Sam again. I wished that had played out differently...
