► Here's a self-indulgent video where I share 50 pointless facts about myself, but at least the backgrounds are somewhat pretty (thanks Disneyland Paris!). Jokes aside, I get a lot of frequently asked questions and I thought this would be a fun way to answer some of the most commonly asked questions I get, and also share some new facts you may not have know about me. I relate to the relationship (#35) one so much, it's something I've actually been struggling with recently! I just came out of a short but very intense relationship and seeing my ex and mututal friends being stressed about being single and literally crying over how much they want a partner it made me feel like something was "wrong" with me. I'm very much open for a relationship in the future once I'm ready to, but I'm just as happy being single.

I relate so much to #35, you worded it so well! I’m happy on my own and I enjoy my own company too, in fact some of the best memories come from solo trips or days spent on my own doing things that I like! I love my family and friends dearly, they enrich my life, and I’m perfectly happy being single. Thanks for sharing Sam, I really enjoyed learning more about you! :)

Thanks foor your informative blog(s) about DLP, really good stuff! If you go back to Efteling, go in the wintertime when they have so-called "winter-efteling "themed days: they go all-out in that theme with the characters, general park-decorations and lovely bonfires etc. Enjoy!

It's funny, I'm sitting here, drinking tea with my boyfriend who I met on an online dating platform (so actively searching more or less) and yet I feel very close to you and your stories, even though we're so different. I feel like there are some things that people can share even if their circumstances are completely different, and I think that's really cool!

Loved this. Thank you for sharing your life with us. BTW...PTSD from earthquakes is absolutely real. I live in Southern California desert (Palm Springs) and have lived through my fair share of 6.0-7.4 earthquakes, one even trapping me in my room. They are terrifying and definitely leave a mark.

Another great one. Can’t believe you are 31! Thought you was a similar age to my children (18 & 26). I too have had a great travel life living in Canada and Brasil & my first real solo holiday was to Austria 🇦🇹! Keep being ‘You’. I’ve still got 187 days till I take my (grownup) children for our Disneyland Paris adventure, can’t wait 😁 . Have you seen the film I told you about ‘Island at the top of the world’ from 1974 with the star being the zeppelin Hypernian? Anyway, again… Thank you for your great content 👍

Hi Sam, thank you for this video where I got to know you better. I've only been following you for a few days, and you're already one of my favorite channels. I think we are more or less the same age (I'm 32) but I've experienced less than half of the things you did! You have a very interesting life! I share many things with you, for example we both grew up in the heyday of Disney (90s). I am happily married but like you I love being in my company, I like having my spaces, in fact in just over a month I will leave for my first trip alone to Disneyland Paris. I am very excited! I hope you will make many more videos so that you get to know each other better and I hope to meet you in person one day in our beloved park! 😍♥️✨

Thank you SO MUCH for saying you are happier single, I have always felt like there was something wrong with me for not being interested in a romantic relationship. I've always felt that for me to want to be in a relationship I would have to enjoy their company more than my own which has never happened. People act like its weird so it's so lovely to hear i'm not the only one! Heading to DLP in November for a solo trip and can't wait!

Definitely agree with the relationship one. I enjoy my own company and don’t see the point seeking a relationship. As for Vans… I’m a converse girl and 99% of my shoes are Converses. Im more of a black coffee lover than tea so it’s not just you. Really enjoyed watching your vlog and looking forward to whatever you’re going to share next xxx

Great video. So many interesting facts. Would love to see a video on your vans as well as your ears. I started collecting ears 10 years ago and have 60+ now. If you like ears then TDR (Tokyo Disney Resort) has some fun ones for each of their events. If you get a chance to choose a time I recommend Halloween - the creativity of Japanese fans and the resulting costumes is amazing. Also recommend TDRexplorer for videos on TDR and the Asian parks. You really bring the parks to life!!!

Ahh so glad you relate!! Being in a relationship isn’t and has never been a priority for me. I went through phases of dating here and there when I was younger, just cuz I felt like I had to as it’s the “norm”. But I know myself enough now to realise it’s just not something I actively want or wish for. And it’s so cool to see other people feeling the same ☺️

I was scheduled to go to Tokyo Disney in May 2020 and October 2020! I'm very impatiently waiting to finally go! And Big Hero 6 is my favorite modern Disney movie too! I've also never had tea, but I also don't drink coffee or anything caffeinated. You facetimed with Johnny Depp?!?!?! OMG!!! I am beyond jealous! He has been my favorite actor since FOREVER!!! I saw him in person back in 2003 at the Pirates of the Caribbean red carpet in Disneyland, but he wasn't allowed to come near the crowds.

What a lovely video. About being single i totally agree with you, i am fine by myself but often feel an outsider because everybody in my circle is settled with a husband/wife. I have a little group of friends who really understand me and respect the way i am living my life. Solotrips i started a few years ago. First in my hometown going alone to a restaurant and then further from home for a weekend. And now being a couple of times to Londen to see some theatre. It was amazing and was holding a dairy to write down my adventures. I many ways i feel related to you. That is why i love the content you make. The real stuff, dlp and theatre. Hopefully next year dlp solo trip. But for this year going with my mum to dlp on my birthday in june. And ofcourse i am curious of the story of Johnny Depp, even though i saw already in the comments it wasn’t that big of deal. But tell it anyway if you like hahaha.. Our family went to Disney World in 2015 for the first time as well! Fun coincidence. I grew up in Utah, so Disneyland California was our closest park, though I've only been four times since our first trip in 1987. My kids are 3rd culture kids like you. They've never known one country, as we've moved all over since before they were born.

When you visit Disneyland Tokyo, don’t do it in the holidays! Waiting times from 3 to 5 hours are normal there, if you are not lucky! We only managed to go on 3-4 rides A DAY and we were one whole day in Disneyland Tokyo and a whole day in Disney Sea. But this was in 2017 and most of the people there were Chinese, maybe it’s different in the future because they have one in Shanghai too since 2016 🤷🏻‍♀️

As soon as you said you watched Barney the Dinosaur I remembered my son’s obsession with it. And his name is Sam also! (Although he is a Samuel). So we took him to Universal Studios specifically so he could meet his hero Barney. He was aged 21 months. He saw the show and hated it. We met Barney after the show and he was terrified and screamed the place down! I guess a purple dinosaur on the TV is a few inches tall but at Universal he was about eight foot tall with a gigantic head and our toddler son was scared witless and probably traumatised for life! Parenting fail!

I saw your video with the user name explanation but I thought it's also a word play with "Sam forgot".😅 I don't know If you are forgetful. OMG! We are actual birthday twins! 😍 Same age, same day ❤️. I'm not so much into astrology but I like connecting by experiences like having birthday in warm weather or that friends are often in vacation on my...our 😁...actual birthday.

Haha a lot of my friends used to joked that I was "Sam forgot" too! AMAZING that we're birthday twins!! :) The only other person I know who has the same birthday and age as us is another KZfaqr (Evan Edinger).

I am really enjoying your videos. We have very similar views, same age and passion for Disney. I wondered if you would ever consider working for Disney? I did the cultural representative program many years ago and loved it. However, as you speak French you could work at Disneyland paris

Hi Sarah, thanks so much :) I actually applied and got offered a job at Disneyland Paris several years ago, but due to various circumstances, couldn't accept the job offer at the time. And at present, it's not something I'm interested in x

I'm sure that the Disney company knows about Sam and her vlogs. That's where they got their Mirabel Madrigal inspiration from - an amiable character who sees and explains more than others and realises all the really important things. And Mirabel is often talked to by people passing by or talks to the audience through the camera, too. - See? 😁 Norway is interesting and very versatile. Me and my husband drove all the way through Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway up to the North cape on our motorbikes this summer, went back mainly through Norway and made a short trip to Amsterdam and Efteling through the Netherlands on our way home to Bavaria. Efteling celebrated it's 70th birthday this year and you're right, it is a great park. But I still prefer Phantasialand. You should also visit that one!

How rich are you? 😅 I'm going to Disneyland Paris this year but it's like a once (maybe twice) in a lifetime thing because of how expensive it is. But good for you of course ánd for us, cause your videos are super informative (I'm on a binge 😁) Also Efteling rocks!! Apparently Efteling and Disney inspired one another btw.

Lord have mercy not the Circumcision operation! I actually faint at the sight of blood so I felt queasy even listening to you say that 😂😂 I mean I am brave I have had a few operations under local anaesthetic and birthed two babies but Lord have mercy I cannot look at blood!
