Look at DG ISI’s body language, his voice is quevering and he is almost on the verge of tears. The reason is that their tried & tested playbook has failed with Imran Khan. He did not leave the country, he is not taking a step back and most importantly he has drummed up huge public support. Even intimation & torture are not working with him. This is a very unfamiliar & uncomfortable situtation for the establishment. So now they are resorting to virtually begging. Just see Nadeem Anjum’s face. Sad to see.

They have made threats and pulled strings to torture their victims brutally as never before seen in Pakistan… ARSHAD Sharif was also the victim of this brutal and deadly campaign of TERROR conducted by the agencies (ISI - this guys agencies… he is leader… he must own his agencies mistakes). Arshad feared for his life due to the threats made against him. Even this clown has admitted he was the best investigative journalist of his generation (and then went on to undermine his own statement by saying he was somehow stupid enough to be brainwashed into a paranoid person who feared for his life for no reason). Arshad Sharif knew more than most and had uncovered several evidences against the agencies involved in the regime change operation… It is quite plausible then that the people that threatened Arshad Sharif, the ones he ran from, finally caught up with him… and carried out their threat to show everyone what they are capable of. In fact, to suggest that the ones that openly persecuted and threatened to kill him were not the murderers is harder for me to accept. Original poster is right to blame the intelligence community for his murder. The threats and torture has also come from this community. If they can’t clean up their agency they should resign and let someone who can… take charge. But they have no shame at all.

Agreed... and also DG ISPR, he is very professional, unbiased in his views. This press talk is very special in that both these gentlemen are saying what have always been demand of genuine political parties and civil society. I pray that the policy of being apolitical on the part of armed forces and agencies is a permanent policy of the institution. After this firm decision, I bet now the total number Pakistani soldiers has grown to 222 million.
