Javed Shaikh had told the same story in another program about his selection for the role in “Sarkar”. The director sat at the end of the lobby in the hotel to watch him walking for the role. For sarkar role, the story sounded true but for a father role, it doesn’t sound true. Bottom line is that now both stories are proven fake. Javed is a good artist and people loved him in Pakistan. But he shouldn’t tell fake stories about his so called “greatness”. I don’t think he has ever had a major role in any Indian movie. In short, Bollywood has used many actors including Mohammad Ali, Zeba and Nadeem but has never given to any of them a good or major role that could have brought them in the limelight. They were always wasted and belittled. Unfortunately, our actors had a hunger of acting in Indian films and so they didn’t care for the role and it’s significance. Javed Shaikh probably got a little more chances then others but again, never had a major role. Playing father of Shah Rukh wasn’t a big deal because there was no opportunity of acting involved in the role. Same was the situation of Mahira Khan in “Raees”. Any ordinary new girl could have played the role of shah Rukh’s wife in the film because there was no opportunity of displaying acting in that role.

Did you notice that I said I like him as an actor and that he should not tell fake stories to portray himself the “greatest” actor? I still like to watch his old PtV plays but that doesn’t mean I can’t criticize him for something he does wrong. Hope now you understand what I meant, Fakihaiqbal.
