Thanks to both Dr Hafeez & Dr Ayesha for candidly discussing what ails Pak. The analytical nature of the interview, devoid of mudslinging, made it enjoyable & informative for the listener. I would have liked to hear from them on: [1] the economic cost of corruption, [2] the 22+ IMF bailouts & the failure to put Pak back on track; [3] the lack of a comprehensive energy policy & the economic future of an energy import dependent Pak.

Very fruitful talk reviewing country's economic derailments and irregularities of past decades, some good suggestions and proposals have discussed in the talk amongst these country's acclaimed economists. The new government should learn the lesson of their own empowerments' previous blunders that downfalls of country's economy as a result declining the poverty levels by increasing prices of basic daily routine kitchen requirements and other necessary commodities. So many wrong doings causing defaming Pakistan's image among global nations. We pray and hope that this newly formed government and it's decision makers including economics intellectuals together could sincerely chalk- out friendly policy and successfully implement for low and middle income.populations of the country. If this government succeeds to controll possible local inflation, increasing agricultural yields and io increase maximum exports.......but how and who !!

Only solution..... Austerity, Austerity, Austerity... Stop unnecessary imports. Try to increase exports, Reduce taxes, attract overease Pakistanis to bring more investments, Stop releasing money to legislators. End budget deficit at all costs. No other solution.... If expenses are not controlled, the country will collapse....
