Went to JazzFest for the Revivalists but the punks didn't show up. Samantha Fish quickly made us forget what we came there for. Many people got to enjoy her music for the first time. Hopefully it won't be their last. She will always have our hearts in New Orleans.

It's a toss up between her and Kenny Wayne Shepherd as to who is my favorite living blues guitarist. They are both frickin' awesome. One of the things I love about Samantha is that she always makes time for her fans with meet and greets, signing autographs, etc., and when you have a chance to talk to her she's just cool as hell. Definitely the kind of chick you'd love to hang out and have a few beers with.

I've pretty much given up on the American music scene for European metal and folk, which is refreshing and in many cases better than anything we produce in the U.S. today. However, Samantha and Beth Hart, still remain among my favorite American artists. This performance is awesome. As usual, her mastery of her guitars, cigar box, and oil can, are amazing!
