Since we didn't go to Palawan due to weather uncertainty, we visited Caluwayan Beach and Resort in Samar instead. This place is only one hour from Tacloban city. Again, this is one of the places I never knew existed when I lived in the Philippines. There is so much biodiversity that the Visayas region of the Philippines has to offer. From beautiful caves to natural hot springs, to stunning rock formations at sea. I understand now why tourism is growing in Tacloban City.
The price of the boat tour was 650 pesos which is at the time, $13 for five people for one hour.
