Absolutely agree Mo. I could listen to her all day. And that's saying something for me because there aren't many people I can do that with. I tend to get bored of even the best voices after 2 or 3 songs

I use to see her and her dad in my neighborhood. Once she won her grammy, I had recognized her. I finally went to see her in concert at Lincoln Center...and she was awesome. I also had the chance to meet her dad after the show and we were able to chat for a minute. Her dad sings just as good as she. God bless. A family of gifted and blessed singers.

And that was at the Grammys. I've been fortunate to see her perform live three times since, and have tickets for more concerts over the next year. Her confidence (especially after her Grammy wins) has skyrocketed; she's experimenting, taking more risks, making it interesting for her and her band (especially given the amount of touring dates), and blowing the audiences' minds. What a performer. Her future is so bright. Go see her live!!! You'll be even more impressed, and you'll struggle to can again. 😜Find her live mashup of Guess Who I Saw Today, with a bridge of Lately by Stevie Wonder. When she really belts it out, it's one of the best tributes to a song ever.

She's only 23 years old and won the 2023 Grammy for Best New Artist and Best Jazz Vocal Album. She's from the Bronx in New York City. Check out her official music video for 'Guess Who I Saw Today?' There is also a live perfomance of that song on the Jennifer Hudson Show.

One of my favorite vocalists right now. Nobody sounds like her in these times. She’s a very refreshing throwback. That being said, I agree tho, whenever people say “there’s no good modern artists out there” clearly ain’t looking in the right places. We have access to all kinds of music these days, and people choose to close off their minds.

You struggling to can? I’m struggling to breathe when I hear that beautiful voice -all liquid gold, and so deliciously behind the beat….she knows it all, she can do it all. Yes, Sarah Vaughn and all the jazz queens before her, and then some…. 🧡 Loved what you said about contemporary musicians, Charlie, and how blessed we are to have it all ‘on tap’. It’s friggin amazing, I agree.
