Samबहादुर is a tribute to Field Marshal Sam HFJ Manekshaw, MC, India's first Field Marshal and a legendary Army General. His career witnessed the shaping of India's geopolitical borders, and his life was marked by significant milestones, from fighting in World War II to being the Chief of Army Staff during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war, that led to the creation of Bangladesh.
This RSVP film explores his dynamic personality and his unparalleled military career, offering a glimpse into the life of a no-nonsense Army Commander, also known as "Sam Bahadur" by the soldiers he led.

same goekha who captured our derjeeling and sikkim for 50 years, they demolished derjeeling monestry, gorkha also fought ranjit singh and got defeated.

⁠Those were pre British era, there was no India as one country back then, but a region. All kingdoms were trying to conquer each other.

⁠For example, In north at that time Ranjeet singh had whole Punjab. Gorkha kingdom had Uttarakhand and was trying to conquer Himachal Kangra, when Kangra king surrendered his kingdom to Ranjeet singh who fought with horses and guns with on foot Gorkhas who only had hand weapons, so Gorkha had lose.

Sadly nobody mentioned anything about the participation of the Tibetan army(sff) in that crucial 1971 war. I feel sad for the Tibetan army for not getting the award and respect even after fighting for somebody's cause. As if they were some sort of shadow warrior. Came from darkness and vanished in darkness after the war and the credit was taken by others.
