This has nothing to do with truck brand and everything to do with how they were all built. The last truck was built for mud drags. Nothing on that truck is stock so it says nothing for the Ford brand. It's just a badass truck with the right setup for this event.

all in the power, being light, and having really thick horizontal tred to grab the mud. when you have sloped tread it pushes the mud to the side and digs a hole

***** it's a purge valve, when you purge a nitrous system you all the old/unburnt/stale nitrous out of the injection system, generally it's just done to look badass and show off that you have nitrous they even make fake purge kits that just shoot co2

the ford won because it used a hydroplaning effect where he has relatively thin tires and lots of horsepower and just laid down tons of power to be able to glide through the mud, that guy knows how to win

Patrick Pedigo the other tires were much too wide so they just float on the liquid surface. his tires cut though it like butter and caught on the firm ground under the mud.

It irks me that some of these guys don't seem to understand that once a groove has been established in the mud, if you drive into that groove and your truck sinks down to the frame and axles, you aren't going ANYWHERE, no matter how much power you have, or how large your tires are. This isn't rocket science.....

The Ford made it because he lined it up well, hammered down, and didn't let up. He basically hydro-planed (Mud-roplaned?) across. That Dodge could have made it if he didn't let off to correct, and so could the El Camino. Once your axles hit the mud, you're done.

The old red Ford was set up well. It appeared to have a wider stance and the tall, narrower, harder tires helped it to not hydroplane or slide into the way too deep ruts, which he straddled, or he wouldn't have made it either. Wise driver.
