🎯 Steps:
1. Create Your Character:
Open the Midjourney chat and prepare your character prompt. For example, type smiling grandmother. Add --stylize 0, 200, 500, ... 1000 to create various stylized versions. Click Enter to generate the initial images.
2. Select the Best Character Image:
Review the generated images and choose the one that best fits your vision. Right-click on the selected image and choose Copy Image URL. This will be used as your character’s reference for future variations.
3. Prepare a New Prompt:
Go back to the Midjourney chat. Write a new prompt for your character's action, such as walking down the sidewalk. Include full body shot and --stylize 0 to maintain consistency. Add --cref followed by the URL of your chosen character image.
4. Generate Multiple Variations:
To create multiple variations of your character in different contexts, add --run and a number between 1 and 10 at the end of your prompt. For example, type --run 4 to produce 12 new images. Click Enter to generate the images.
5. Review and Refine:
Compare the new images with your original character. Use Vary Subtle to tweak and refine the images. Click the paperclip icon while holding Shift to include the style reference, ensuring all versions align with your chosen aesthetic.
Thanks for joining us! By using the --cref command, you can create and refine a character, generating consistent images across different scenarios. Share your favorite characters in the comments and subscribe for more creative tips. Happy designing!

Hi, i am creating Anime Characters , i know its a bit more difficult at times, but i come to something what i cant explain, i created my character, i have full body front, back, portrait of the face, and all in the same style i kinda enjoy, but its so hard to get her into the right poses, if i ask midjourney to do the same thing without my cref, it suddenly knows how make a girl sleeping with her head on the table, but if i enter my cref, it didnt even know that eyes are closed while sleeping nor how to put this head on the table, yet i noticed that when i spend hours trying to generate a pose or an expression, this pose or expression appears later on randomly as well and made the poses more divers, yet i really struggle with getting full body short, and the poses i want this really makes me sad and frustrated do you have any tips?

I love this. Thanks for walking us through the process. Q: what's the difference between relaxed mode and fast mode. I understand relaxed mode gives you unlimited rolls, while fast mode is limited per month. What does that mean exactly? Is it true there are some things that require fast mode? Are there some things you can't do in relaxed mode? Like I saw that upscaling requires fast mode. What if you run out of fast mode credits? Can you then not upscale? Can you upscale images NOT made in MJ? What's the time difference in your experience, etc...thx!

relaxed used less GPU time, fast mode uses more. Relaxed just takes longer to run.

Can your method work for cref images that were not created by MJ? Thanks

@@MrJoe1199 - We've been there. Start playing around with different prompts and settings to dial it in. We use the repeat mode and power permutations to blow through a lot of interactions to find our way through things sometimes. MJ works with combo of your prompts and some randomness, so changing things sometimes gets better results.
