Blinking lovely bit of kit, get the mechanics sorted, oil, air filter change then try it out on the branch logger. Get the chassis wire brushed and brush some dinitrol on it. What isn't sorted by the end of the summer so what😂 get it under cover. I got a 30 year old mini digger with a roof sheet strapped to the roof behind a building so it gets some shelter. She's a keeper!

Thanks for the encouragement, once the hazel is cut I hope to have a day or two getting the oils and filters done. I have engine oil and filter ready. Dinitrol I’ll look out for that. I do love a bit of classic machinery

Thanks Jamie, cabs are like hens teeth but I hope to do a basic restoration just so it’s tidy and drives ok on the road.

Mechanically they are simple. The pto and 4wd lever pass through a housing in the seat box and are prone the seizure, they are a bit of a faf to remove and clean. The cab, remove the doors, and the front screen,a couple of bolts top and bottom, it’ll make access to and working on the cab a lot easier

So i made me comment whilst i was still watching yes it is a 3 cylinder air cooled engine its a fantastic tractor its just the rust making it look a night mere i would take all the cab off and patch up the arches lubricate all the working parts and full service it when not using it take of the battery and keep it trickled on top of the three cylinders theres a lever you can hold open to let it spin over quicker when trying to start it also there is a little red on mine button on the diesel pump which is the manual choke which needs to be pulled open when starting the engine Darren

I’ve had a lot of feedback in the Same forums how good these tractors are. Surprisingly the electrics all work on it. I’ll look out for those starting options, it does take a while to crank over when cold. The battery is off and safe, I’ll hook up my solar charger to it. I’ve downloaded a manual for it too from the SLH website. All the best mate thanks for watching

Dont get too hung up about it looks. The engine runs, and the pto will be an easy fix. Its a air cool simple machine, it will probably see you out. My zetor was a pile of rusty plop 15 years ago when bought it, and it still is. If the rust offends thy eyes put on some rust converter, and paint it. The secret to running an old tractor, is to fix things when they are broken and not before. It will power your branch logger well.

Hi Darren is that a 3 cylinder air cooled engine and if so there is a trick to starting them you might not know buddy but i would keep it if you can as they are fantastic tractors when serviced and running properly mine is a 1965 to 1968 360 c 4x4 and love it mate

❤ looks like an f3L engine from deutz company. I like the hammering sound of these 3 cylinder engines... I could sleep on the seat with its sound in the backround. I would keep it ❤. The fuel consumption is also very low on these machines which is a great advantage over the new types of engines. It wont let you down when all movables and breaks are free and lubricated. My advise is just to shelter it from the weather, its a pain to get the engine goin when water runs trough the exhaust into the engine.😅

That’s great info thanks so much. I’m just planning how I can get it sheltered a bit better. I’ll pop a video update when I do. Just to keep the worst of the weather off. Using little fuel is something I’ve heard about which is a bonus.

Had one about 30 years ago with a loader on, the front halfshafts broke a couple of times but that was due to the loader, otherwise a good tractor with a good power to weight ratio and would be a good tractor for timber work

Hey man, do you know how much oil a Same miniatauro 60 takes? I'm trying to do an oil change and figure out how much oil it takes and what type.

Mine uses a 15w40 oil and I think 10 litre per oil change. Hope that helps. I’m not sure if the minatauro is exactly the same

@@AbellTo thanks a bunch dude! I live in the United States, and theres not many of these tractors around. I know that the Taurus and minotauro use the same engine just with small differences in the fuel system. I really appreciate the info dude! Good luck on your Taurus!
