Arthur Cooperman Most teams let the starting pitcher pick the jersey for that game. Must have been some miscommunication with the equipment manager.

@@Martincito714 except for teams with Jersey schedules. For example, Giants wearing orange on Friday, Pittsburgh wearing camo on Thursday, Blue Jays wearing red on Sunday.

I want to know how they manage to leave the locker room with the wrong color Jersey on? I get how grienke and lake where those but when it's the wrong color completely that's an accomplishment to be able to get out of the locker room without noticing or you coach or a nice teammate saying something.

During the Cardinals' first western road trip of the 1999 season (yellow beaks, numbers on the front), Kent Bottenfield pitched two games in his 1998 uniform (red beaks, no numbers on the front).

Ugh! Uniforming! Interestingly the Mormon Tabernacle Choir has a neat solution for coordinating dress. Mannequins are spotted in front of both sexes' dressing rooms clothed in that performances' dress. One, after having donned the uniform compares one's self to the mannequin.

The first one is Junior Lake. This guy seems to always have issues with his uniform. In his first home game when he played for Toronto (a very short stint), he was told when he went for his At Bat to tuck in his jersey into his pants. This is supposed to be a grown man and he cant even dress himself. *SMH*

Offical MLB rules 3.03 (1.11) Player Uniforms (a) (1.11(a)(1)) All players on a team shall wear uniforms identical in color, trim and style, and all players’ uniforms shall include minimal six-inch numbers on their backs. (c) (1.11(a)(3)) No player whose uniform does not conform to that of his teammates shall be permitted to participate in a game.

On the road you're supposed to wear the jersey with the name of the state or city you're from, at home you're supposed to wear the "mascot" name jersey. So Lake was correct in his thinking. Why wear a Cubs jersey on the road? You're supposed to be wearing a Chicago jersey, he was right, everyone else was wrong lol

K Maunahan Uribe's jersey said Los Angeles across the front in the earlier play then he's wearing the correct one with Dodgers when he's batting.

spotty112 2 because most teams have all the jerseys set in the locker. For example the New York Mets have all their jerseys in the locker and 30 mins before game time the starting pitcher choices which jersey he wants to wear. Looking at the brewers jerseys they probably just grabbed one that had the same color but failed to notice the front lettering. When you play 162 games in a from April-October what jersey to wear is probably the last thing on your mind.
