DESCRIPTION
This is an original instrumental composition in Bayatı-Şiraz (Bayāt-e Shīrāz) mugham whose joyous melody is carried from the balaban and kemanche solos to the layered sounds of the orchestra. This piece celebrates the art of movement, an art that tells many stories and reveals the inner world of a culture.
Performed live at the Opening Ceremony of the 43rd UNESCO World Heritage Committee held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani people are mostly Turkic (mix of Kipchak Turks and Oghuz Turks) who mixed with Iranian Culture(895-1925 Iran ruled by Turks and even today 55-60% population are Turkic, only Azerbaijani Turks population are +- 45 000 000) and live together with indigenous Caucasian peoples and we have Khaszar(Turks who believe Torah)heritage too and we are Muslim Shia ) and a lot of different ethnic groups lives in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani our common name.Turks(Tatars, Padars, Turkomans, etc...), Iranian(Tat, Talish, Kurd etc)Caucasian(Avar, Chechen, Ingeloy, Lezgi, Lak etc..), Slavs(Malokans), Semitic(Jewish, Arabs) all we are together mix our culture and result of it Modern Azerbaijan and all we are Azerbaijanian together. At last war, every single citizen of our motherland shows it everybody , all ethnic groups are fought voluntarily for our common motherland.

As a Turkish person, I'm not against people associating this with Ottoman court but guys, this is Azerbaijani music. Azerbaijan is our beloved brother country with an amazing tradition and history. They are our brothers but they have their own country and they have their own music. And their music is amazing! Turkish music and Azerbaijani music can be considered somewhat similar but they still have differences. Please search history of Azerbaijan instead of just associating all of their culture with Turkey. Believe me, Azerbaijan is soo beautiful, you won't regret it.

There is an unspoken bond between all of our cultures. Underneath, we all are sewn from the same thread. I don’t mind mixing of cultures of the same region. It’s even more uplifting than always staying within our own boundaries. I’m from Iran living abroad for 43 years.

@@ruslanorlov5099 actually North Pakistan is close to central asia. We are told that our ancestors migrated from Central Asia. Not a single person came close to Gilgit Baltistan. It is a very harsh country surrounded by rugged mountains.

This makes me feel like dancing in a wedding in the middle of a desert, under the moonlight. A nikah has just been signed in a khaima and now everybody is sitting outside around a campfire listening to this melody. People are dressed in long white kaftans and tea is being served. The air is mysterious yet so soothing. Should I write a novel? hahah
