The S13 is proving harder than expected to get simple upgrades done. Trying to install a 2 way LSD has completely backfired & caused a lot of problems.

Don’t get frustrated now man. Like tommy said, you learned a lot , and you’ll never do it wrong again. It’s all just a learning experience. Some day your gonna use the knowledge and remember where and how you learned and it’s gonna make you laugh.

Differing differentials will always be difficult but at least in the future he will be able to differentiate between the two and diffuse a situation he might have been diffident in.

Always treated crown wheels and pinions as matched sets. Especially secondhand as the wear patterns would be different. Diffs are a black art.

And if you swap them you need new crushes to do it properly every single time you install them to get the right distance.

The pinions are all interchangeable between abs and non abs, the thick shims and collars are all different so mark everything from whatever diff they are from and then swap all the shit until it fits.... I've just done this for a 4.6

I dont know if im the only one, but I actually enjoy these types of videos. A good video doesnt need to have something insane happening every time. Watching this content makes your videos feel more real and relatable in my opinion. Keep on posting whatever you can film, thats what vlogs are for :)

Ruddy is just too lazy to learn. He’s Smart don’t get me wrong but the only thing that’s wrong with him is he rushes his builds. He doesn’t have the patience to take his time on things. Been watching the dude for years now since haggard and he’s still the same. at lest he’s slowly changing.

You CAN run the non-abs diff with an abs driveshaft if you are desperate.... the diff is only ~0.75-1 inch shorter, so your slip yoke won't sit in as far but its perfectly drivable

The ring gear and pinion gear are a matching pair and are "lapped" together so they mesh perfectly. You can't just swap ring gears etc.

Seeing the struggles of building a car is also very valuable to your viewers because this stuff doesn't always go to plan. So it's good to see you work through challenges, that way other people know that they can as well. Hell. I've been writing on the same car for 3 years now because I have rain into so many challenges, especially with finding parts. Keep up the great work.

Don't stress my guy! It's a lesson learned... Chin up bro! Possible solution, I know you don't run welded diffs, what about installing a minispool, as a temporary fix, you won't have to outlay for tailshaft, axle hubs, any other odds or ends. Until you get your hands on a proper LSD Respect to Papa Tom 👏👏👏🏆
