Always treated crown wheels and pinions as matched sets. Especially secondhand as the wear patterns would be different. Diffs are a black art.

The pinions are all interchangeable between abs and non abs, the thick shims and collars are all different so mark everything from whatever diff they are from and then swap all the shit until it fits.... I've just done this for a 4.6

You CAN run the non-abs diff with an abs driveshaft if you are desperate.... the diff is only ~0.75-1 inch shorter, so your slip yoke won't sit in as far but its perfectly drivable

The ring gear and pinion gear are a matching pair and are "lapped" together so they mesh perfectly. You can't just swap ring gears etc.

Don't stress my guy! It's a lesson learned... Chin up bro! Possible solution, I know you don't run welded diffs, what about installing a minispool, as a temporary fix, you won't have to outlay for tailshaft, axle hubs, any other odds or ends. Until you get your hands on a proper LSD Respect to Papa Tom 👏👏👏🏆
