Sammy gravano is your stereotypical snitch. He is trying to get this guy to admit to killing somebody so he can get busted. What fucking narc! There is no statute of limitations on murder. Even if he doesn't give the name of the person that he killed, it'll still get the police fucking with him again. Sammy gravano is just jealous because this guy probably has a better life than he does. And he's probably able to make more money by selling his story of his life in the mob

Mr Gravano is most serious about this exchange and has asked the viewers to contribute their thoughts by making comments for him to reflect upon. Exactly, I believe the entire life being built on loyalty and family is just a fairytale! Maybe the original mafia members in America did actually live up to like 80% of the life they preached. But Cosa Nostra had eroded so much thru the decades that by the late 60s, 70, and 80s it was a cutthroat life built on anything but loyal, family, omertà, etc. They killed men based on hearsay I believe MANY times just because the heads of the families gave the order. They would even kill their best friends in their own crews based on an order from someone they had little contact with, the bosses. How is that being loyal or being a real family? It’s a dead end life and had become so dirty by the time Sammy and Michael came along they were just pawns in the grand scheme of things. Michael was a great earner and Sammy was a good earner, but great killer. Sammy is a sociopath and has no right to speak on anyone in that life because he broke the #1 rule even though his own boss was gonna kill him and set him up to keep himself(Gotti) from taking so much of a fall. However Sammy ratted which was smart in most people’s opinion because that life was a fairytale! Those principles were put in place to basically keep the lower ranking 80% in line and so they carried out all orders, brought in money, etc.

But I can guarantee you most men who succeeded in that life were on of the two. Michael isn’t a maniac, he just had the father that all mafiosos looked up to and Michael is super smart about financials. Dude knows how to make money legally and especially illegally back in the day when he was bringing in literally a several hundred million dollars over like 5-6 yrs I believe. His dad was bought into that life like Sammy but Sonny Francese was the ultimate mafioso. Never broke a rule that anyone found about at least. Big earners were revered more than notorious killers in the mafia. They were the lifeblood of the mafia not the killers. Remember. Killing is bad for business in the first place for the mafia. Only necessary when all other negotiations have failed them. Cosa nostra had thousands of killers and very few big league earners. Michael, and Sammy were both earners...but Michael just didn't have to get his hands AS dirty so to speak. With what current circumstances we know right now about Michael. That's it, and for some reason That pisses Sammy off immensely. Though it shouldn't. Because Killing brings heat. Brings attention. Brings more guys into the picture that you may have to also kill. Whom had nothing to do with the situation prior. Brings war. Brings death of people who may be on you're side... in you're crew. You're family could be at risk.There's a lot more moving parts to killing than just putting 2 in the back of someone's head. Sammy should respect Michael for achieving that much without having to Wipeout 15,20,30 mob guys. That takes brains, and intelligence from where I look at it... the mob will take that any day before a enforcer like gaspipe, or Tony Spilotro. Sammy should be respecting Michael a little more. And everyone knows that he's not protected by the statute of limitations for a crime as damning as murder. To admit to something like that--and in some states, even second-degree murder and manslaughter--he'd open himself up to an investigation. If the mob failed to do its homework on Michael Franzese--in other words, made him despite having him commit the ultimate act in a display of allegiance--that is on the mob, not Michael. Other mobsters can hate on Michael all they want, but the fact remains that he's by far smarter than every single one of them. That's where all the jealousy comes from. He used his brain rather than force to make it. You can just tell by the man's demeanor and current success that he's cut from a different cloth. Sammy is damn near 80, he still wants to be a gangster. I just don't get it.

Michael has his flaws. The gas scam he didn't start that. He calls Gotti flamboyant yet his mansion made Gotti's house look like a box. His jets & airplane. Michael has spoken about Machiavelli. One famous quote is "It's very important to always appear to be religious" Michael is bringing down alot of $$ speaking at Churches, telling his side of his story. Sammy Gravano is an old man with a story in all honesty if it wasn't for John Gotti Sammy would just be another guy who flipped. He isn't the only underboss to flip, hell even a boss has flipped.

From what I've seen of these clips, Sammy had two goals. Prove michael didn't kill and prove michael snitched like he did. Sad.
@MH-zg5yw
@MH-zg5yw 2 жыл бұрын
Michael Franzese did snitch. To say otherwise is a lie. Franzese named names. Here is part of his testimony "....Michael Markowitz, David Bogatin and Lev Persits were all in a position of leadership and had about 200 other Russians working under them in various capacities. They were also continuously assisting other Russians in immigrating to the United States. After I went to prison in 1985, my information was that Markowitz, Bogatin and Persits did continue to work with the Colombo family in the gasoline business for a short period of time. Around 1988, Markowitz was shot and killed in front of his home in Brooklyn. I do not know who was responsible for his death. However, I am reasonably certain that the hit was authorized by the Colombo family and could possibly have been carried out by other Russians. An attempt was also made on the life of Lev Persits. Although he survived the attempt, he is permanently disabled and confined to a wheelchair today. David Bogatin fled to Austria, where he had a controlling interest in the bank that was funded with gasoline tax money from our operation. He was captured in Poland, extradited to the United States to face tax fraud charges and is currently serving a Federal prison sentence." If you think that Michael Franzese didn't name people to the Feds then you're delusional. He fully cooperated. Now, what the Feds did with that info is a different story. Franzese has no control over what the Feds do. So, if the Feds chose not to go after people that is their choice. It doesn't change the fact that Michael Franzese cooperated with the Feds. he still fingered people.

That was the life man. People who killed were levelled with great respect. They were the real men. The men who did work as they put it. It was almost like an honour to do it at the time, and to pull of the hits he did, it's a massive achievement of legendary status in that life. That's just how it was in those crowds. It's like gang bangers now. If you're in a fight, stab, or shoot someone, it's levelled with respect. When certain people in certain circles end up in prison, it's like a party amongst criminals. It's hard to wrap your head around if you're not familiar with that kind of world, but it's important to remember, these weren't innocent people he killed, they too were murderers and mafiosos. They knew the life, and the risks, and consequences like any soldier anywhere.
