In this clip, Sammy The Bull revisits the infamous night in December of 1990 when a known hangout of the Italian Mafia called the "Ravenite Social Club" got raided by the feds, resulting in his arrest (for racketeering) along with John Gotti and others. As the feds built their case against Sammy The Bull and his fellow defendants, John Gotti's infamous tapes surfaced which featured some less than flattering commentary about his underboss, Sammy The Bull. To that, Sammy The Bull explains to DJ Vlad that he noticed when his old friend began to plot against him before floating a theory that John Gotti intended to have him murdered by ordering him to kill off other members of the mob, such as Chin Gigante, in order to make it look like he was out of control. This ultimately led to Sammy The Bull turning on his former boss, testifying nearly one year later in court during November of 1991 and accepting a plea deal to serve 20 years in prison. Moving along, Sammy The Bull discusses John Gotti's trial before talking about how difficult it was to break one of the Italian Mafia's golden rules about cooperating with the feds.

Sammy made up this story conveniently when he never told it to the government, his book, or in the Diane Sawyer interview like most of his stories these days. He invented this way after the fact with the idea that nobody would publicly call him out on it after doing all that time in rat prison in Arizona. Chin was the most powerful guy on the street, the Genoveses were and remain the most powerful family, and Sammy coming up with this tale that he'd come close to getting to him is beyond absurd lol. The feds couldn't even get close to Chin and bet that he'd never trust or let Sammy come near him in any vulnerable moment. Sammy had 17ish years to wantonly invent this bullshit, among other stories, and it's sad that people fall for it.

Gotti never really seemed to learn from his mistakes. The reason he killed Paul was because he was on tape with his crew discussing the commission, drug trafficking, murders, etc. Then Gotti reaches out to Sammy & Frankie for help because he knows Paul is going to kill Gotti and his entire crew. Then, he becomes boss, and gets caught on tape again discussing all of their illegal dealings from rackets to murders. Then he planned to pin it all on Sammy so that he could walk free. I give it maybe 3 years and he would’ve been back on trial for talking on tape - again. They didn’t have a second of audio from Sammy. He talked about nothing. He said that he was looking at beating it if it wasn’t for Gotti pinning it on him. Again, I’m not justifying what either of them did. I’m not in the mob or haven’t lived that life, but that’s the background of the story as to why Sammy feels that way. To counter what Sammy is saying, I don’t see why he had to rat on 38 other people besides Gotti.

And Chin struck at Gotti (DeCicco wasn’t the prime target) for not getting Commission permission to kill his boss..so Chin was well within his right! You can make all the excuses you want..but doesn’t change that fact he went against his own codes to save his own skin! And he has never faced that..instead blaming Gotti entirely for his decision to cooperate.

@John Hernandez He didn't turn then cause he knew he didn't commit the crime. It's easy to stand on all 10 toes knowing there's no way you're being convicted cause you're innocent. Now fast forward to when he gets caught in the case with Gotti and Frank LoCascio. He knows that he'll never see the streets again if he's convicted. He knows as well that to that very minute he has never EVER served a minute in a real prison. He's never served any time at all. He's been arrested a bunch but never convicted and sent to prison. He realized that he was going to go from womanizing to no women at all, from Filet Mignon to prison garbage and from a mansion to an 8x10 cell for the rest of his life. He cracked for that reason. Not cause of Gotti or anything else. He cracked cause he was scared of prison. To this very day he's never served a minute of any of his prison time on a general population yard. Everywhere he's gone has either been a rat's nest or he's in with the other cooperators and chomo's and all that.
