Visiting Romania's most SPECTACULAR CASTLE and hiking in Sinaia, Romania | Peles Castle

Today we are visiting one of the most iconic castles in Romania, Peles Castle!
Peles Castle is set at the bottom of the Bucegi Mountains near the picturesque town os Sinaia. It is considered by many to be one of the most stunning and spectacular castles in Europe. Since this castle served as the summer residence for the royal family the King who commissioned it spared no expense. Built in 1873, Peles Castle was constructed with electricity, an elevator, themed rooms, and even a stained glass roof. This fairy-tale like castle is definitely worth a stop on your next Romanian road trip!

I saw all your romanian vlogs and are really beautifuls I will recomand you also The road from Bicaz to Gheorgheni you will see Cheile Bicaz and Lacul Rosu Also the road from Aiud to Buru to see Castelul Templul Cavalerilor and Piatra Secuiului and near at 40 km or 40 minutes drive to Turda city is Cheile Turzii a verry beautifull canion Also at Borsa you can see the biggest waterfall of Romania, Cascada Cailor with 92 meter of waterfall high This is my selfphone number if you need more information 0040751308999

I have travelled and visited all the various famous palaces and castles of Europe , but this one is by a wide margin the very best. Further to this , visiting Romania was about one - fifth the cost of most places , and the people are most friendly and accommodating, even when not getting money out of you.

Peles caste is not a real castle but just a big Palace. Bran caste also is not a real caste but just a fortification. In Romania there are some real castles, and the greatest is Hunyadi castle ( Castelul Huniazilor or Castelul Corvinilor or Castelul Hunedoarei in romanian) built for Iancu Corbu knited by the hungarian king as John Hunyadi known as Iancu de Hunedoara who was the father of Matia Corvin known as Hunyadi Mátyás in hungarian and Matthias Corvinus in latin, the greatest enlightened hungarin king but killed by slow lead poisoning by his own wife with the help of his own doctor.

Sammy and Tommy - at least your playlist about Romania might be one of the best uploaded Romania travel videos in English on KZfaq ... and this is why: - very good choices about the places to visit - filming was really good - doesn't feel like amateur , more like a pro - the pace , and editing skills very good : not too slow to be boring , not too fast to loose the details , videos length optimal - fun and entertaining (you are both really cute) same time as relevant information to watch Congrats, you've done a really good job. I am sure most of the Romanians would agree when I say you've done a very good job to let people know of the beauty of this country - not exploited enough from a touristic point of view.

The exterior of Peles Castle 🏰 has been featured in at least a couple of Hallmark movies: “Royal Matchmaker” and “A Princess for Christmas,” IFIRC. There are likely other Hollywood movies where Romanian castles 🏰 are featured. Amazing landscape and culture!!

From Busteni you can take a cabin that takes you on top of the mountain. There you can see Babele and the Sphynx. There you can either go to see Caraiman cross by foot or take another cabin to descend on the other side of the mountain and visit Ialomitei cave(it has a small church inside the cave).I dont think you have the time to visit both the Ialomitei cave and the Caraiman cross in the same day.

@@SammyandTommy ,I live in USA since 1995.I have a 2 rooms apartment in Brasov [never rented,,fully furbished]in the Railway Station Area[Bulevardul Garii].The view is superb[4 th floor of a 4 floors building].You can see Timpa and the old Citadel[Cetatea Brasov] from the balcony.Next time when you go you can stay for free there for as long as you wish.You can contact me privately and talk about.All the best regards to both of you.You are wonderful people.

Peles is perhaps the most beautiful castle in Romania but the most spectacular castle in Romania is the Corvin castle. Everytime I see that castle, I'm expecting a dragon to show up

Beautiful video guys! Peleș Castle took 41 years to build. Construction started in 1873 and it was completed in 1914. This gorgeous Romanian monument was completely closed to the public during Ceausescu communist era. As stated in this video, this was the first castle in Europe to have locally produced electricity and central heating. If You are not fond of the crowds, consider visiting this fairytale site the fall.
