I'm planning to order MM Bongo 6 replica from China. I didn't expect brilliant tone quality, but this one have very good it. Looks like original Bongo, sounds very well and the most important - price. Cheers from Poland.

Always difficult to tell from a home recording compressed by youtube and played through your computer . Even good strings can save a cheap bass .I doubt its any worse than the subray's . I own 2 subray's and can't fault them for the price point . I'm sure the subrays have the cheapest everything and you pay a little more for the fact its a licenced copy . Now days you can get good sounds and playability from modest moneys .

Sounds pretty usable to me, you should record direct, cam mics aren't very good, unless they are right near the speaker. It sounds WAY BETTER than my Ibby Gio.
