I've never worked in a Call Center where we should take order from English people. I find so difficult write the first and last name correctly, I can't even understand even when they spell it, the same with shipping address for example. I admire this girl and every person who speaks English fluently and those who can understand everything they listen over the phone. My mother tongue is Spanish so I've a really marked accent, If you listen to me you'll immediately notice that I'm a Spanish speaker. I've applied 3 times for a Call center job and I haven't passed the test, however, I keep studying every day, I hope some day get that ability to speak English fluently.

Actually, my weakest point is my speech. I stutter a lot everytime i talk in english or even in my dialect. I don't know why? Maybe i'm not used to talking to different people. And i really wanted to improve it. What i did was, i applied in a BPO company coz i want a job that's beyond what i'm capable of and being a call center agent is i think very challenging for me. Luckily, i got hired immediately and i am now a trainee. I hope i can pass the training and become the better version of me. ^^

I am an introvert, nd when i took my first call , it was a very bad customer,he was irate and 4 technician visits already happened, it was really hard to talk to such a person being an introvert , but m proud how i handled that customer, the nearly went like for 1hr 30+ mins 🤦🏻‍♀️.....

The hell. I remember watching this to 'get prepared' for my first BPO job and it just randomly showed on the related videos. Hahah. Been in this industry now for almost 5 years. Gee, this brought back that feeling and those memories when I was a newbie.

The only thing I'm struggling with is "being on point of what I'm trying to say". Tone, accent ,vocab and grammar is all green, but when the talk goes long I always end up mixing my words. That's why I applied for back office. :D

Filipino Call Center Agents Advantages: Great communication skills (i.e., word pronunciation, enunciation, diction, accent, intonation, etc.), hardworking, dedicated, committed, and highly professional. Filipino Call Center Agents Disadvantages: They are nowhere to be found but in the lunch room when MISS UNIVERSE is being aired. Call waiting gets too long, and agents are too hyper when they come back to their stations as their candidate wins the competition. (At least it only happens once every year.)

Been in the call center industry my entire work life. Been in sales , customer service, rention (resolution) and re-instrument and I must say it was awesome but now I want to change industries as in South Africa the most recommended industry to work in is the public sector ( civil servant) call centres big in SA but we face a lot of unfair treatment and we often get dismissed unfairly if I were to go back would like to be a sales supervisor or QA agent.

Actually guys, there is no such thing as a "pure" or "neutral" American accent these days. People are scattered all over the world, bringing with them their culture from where they came from, that includes the way they communicate. Communication is the main key. Whether you like it or not, change is inevitable. The American accent we know before may not be the American accent we encounter today.
