In this video, I show how a simple collage of short samples can create a groove that is unique. Sometimes, it may even render any sampling you have done as unrecognizable. Depending entirely on the processing and length.

Nice beat man. KZfaq will actually allow remixes of songs as long as you don't monetize it. The trick is to set the video to private and waiting a little bit. KZfaq will let you know if the audio is allowed to be used in KZfaq or not. Turns out KZfaq has deals with record companies and they allow use of certain audio in the platform. Labels and artists always have a way to request the video be blocked, demonetized or they can request the monetization go to the original artist if the video is monetized. There's also the fair use act, if you use any samples while teaching others, that's educational use and it's protected, but that's another rabbit hole. Soundcloud also allows basically anything. And record companies won't waste their time coming after you if you ain't making money from the flips. So if your goal is just to learn, have fun and share your flips, you should be straight. However, if you use uncleared samples it's copyright infringement hands down no matter what anybody tells you. Good advice bro. Keep em coming.

@VigoBeatz Thank you for stopping through and dropping some education on this. I am really unclear on all the details of what is acceptable by law. Appreciate you for taking the time to break it down homie. Salute!

Nice video! Regarding the 'legalities' it so simple: anytime you publish anything (i.e. post, upload, or sell) with a sample that you dont have the rights to, its copywrite infringement. Period. All the other jibber jabber about sample length, "fair use" ect is people who dont understand copywrite talking themselves into an eventual lawsuit. Having said that, sample everything and get away with what you can! PEACE!
