Sampoorna Ramayanam (Tamil: சம்பூர்ண இராமாயணம்) is a 1958 Tamil Mythology film directed by K. Somu. It is based on the Valmiki's Ramayanam. The film features Sivaji Ganesan and N. T. Rama Rao in lead roles. The film, produced by M. A. Venu, had musical score by K. V. Mahadevan and was released on 14 April 1958. V. Srinivasan lent voice to N. T. Rama Rao in Tamil

பரதன் இவ்வாறு நடந்ததை தத்ரூபமாக அந்த கதாபாத்திரமாகவே மாறிய நடிகர் அல்ல நடிப்புத்திலகம் நமது ஆழ்மனதில் பசுமரத்துஆணிபோல் பதித்துவிட்டார். என்னே அவரது பிரமிக்கத்தக்க நடிப்பு.

Yes. Well said. That is most essential. I wonder whether you only have made similar comments (as Negatives should have been preserved) in another video of a Sivaji film ! We are unable to see some of Dr.Sivaji's old full Movies/Drama portions in films, such as இரும்புத்திரை (except 2 clippings), செந்தாமரை, பெற்ற மனம், Film containing பொற்கைப்பாண்டியன் Drama portion (Whether தாயைப் போல பிள்ளை நூலைப்போல சேலை ?), நல்ல வீடு, சாம்ராட் அசோகன் (2nd time enacted) Drama portion alone in ரோஜாவின் ராஜா, 1974 Mono acted - S.A.Kannan directed Short Film 'CHATHRAPATHI SIVAJI'' made for Bombay Doordarshan, One more enacted Character in a Shakespeare's Play in a very old earlier days film and may be a few more. These should have been preserved. Really it is a disappointment for audience, especially for ardent Sivaji fans like us. V. GIRIPRASAD (69 Years)

Rajaji's words of praise of Sivaji's role as Bharathan, a minor role in Sampoorna Ramayanam r equivalent to Oscar award for this thespian. Overlooked by Oscar awarding committee though French Govt compensated Sivaji with its highest award of Chevaliye. Sivaji was created by the Almighty Nature for Acting.

What an acting, only some brief moments in the movie but Sivaji Ganesan leaves his indelible mark in the 1958 movie. The greatest actor I have ever seen, pride of India.

He appears for 10 mins in the movie and ends up owning the movie in audiences mind. That is the greatness of talent. That is why talent has to be nurtured. I don't know how many more talented people like him we lost due to nepotism and lost opportunities. If it has to be purely by talent then Prabhu, Vijay or Ajith could not have broken into movies. You can compare the quality of top actors who broke in by talent - Sivaji, Kamal and Rajni. Versus the current top actors from their first movies.
