It’s a massive upgrade. I honestly think my GT gets better range than it did with the stock motor. It does definitely have a lower top speed. Which sometimes is annoying, but I mostly ride technical Mtn bike trails, so I’m not too worried about the loss of top end. This motor paired with the soft flared low boys is so much better than stock.

I bought the gts motor and installed it on my GT. Hopefully someday I can get the gts bms and the battery to complete the upgrade. I know it's expensive but I think it's a good route for me along the way. I don't want to sell the GT for a lower price and buy the gts on that full price. I also get the to play around and mod the onewheel. Thanks for the video! I'm subscribing!

Tech rails would never make a 6.5 hub. People don’t want 6.5. There’s no suspension with a low profile tire

There are people who like and want the 6.5 including me . I feel the landing on the jumps is much better but I do agree that you lose a little performance on the 6.5 to the 6 on the streets or racing on concrete/ tracks . Maybe they will maybe they won't. Not my company to say so ! Just my opinion which doesn't mean a thing 😆

I wish people understood kv's and voltage. The gts motor is a lower kv for more torque. To get more speed you need more voltage. So gts on gt you get less top end but more torque.

I have the S series and I haven't been able to reach TorqueBuzz because of the 113 V. To me, that series feels like butter when I ride it, much smoother than the GT. However, it has low torque, so it doesn't just cut out at a specific tilt point. But I do think Apex is much snappier on the GTS. I've been riding the s series for a while and just happened to get a ride on the GT, and I almost nosedived.

I haven't had a nose dive yet but need more time to test it . I find the instant power on the gts motor in the gt is much better ..

Gotta agree with this 100%. Cruising with my buddy on his GT, my GTS is smoother, more torque, and wants to go mid 20s easy. Still haven't hit buzz or pushback yet either. Also he was maxed out on apex and I was in flow stock setting. And I was getting better range because of that. He also about 20 lbs lighter, 180 vs 160 riders. On a side note, took my XR for a cruise yesterday day and felt so bad how anemic it was compared to the GTS. Gonna have to vesc her now to still enjoy it lol.

Does anybody feel like since the new update the made the gt motor lag a bit as mentioned to make the comparison of the new gts a bigger difference to get the wow factor

yes more powerful magnets mean more torque but less high end speed.

Really surprised bout the speed. With them coming out with the battery amd controller couldn't you just build your own gts over time instead of dropping +3k?

People try, there’s the mag wheel board or the gosmilo, but they don’t work as well they’re missing some secret sauce that FM puts into their board

i'm a little confused... in the beginning of the ride you said you were hitting push back on his GT before the GTS motored GT was. then @11:30 he said you were hitting push back and he was starting to catch you? so... which one hit's push back first?

about 20 to 22 mph .. not the 25mph like the gts has, that's for sure

the cost to performance benefit is nowhere near there for me. SF or CC conversions the miles better options

GTS upgrade to GT, does that mean the best of both worlds, more battery from the GT and a higher torque motor from the GTS upgrade?

No. A proper text would monitor the amperage and compare that against the voltage potential. It's electronics, the math will always be more accurate than a rolling text. There is no way to increase torque without using more power. It itsmist basic formula. It takes 9.8 joules of energy to lift 1kg 1 meter.. doesnt matter how you lifted that weight, it took EXACTLY 9.8 joules of energy to get it there
