If Quinn legitimately valued his life, he would have stayed as far away from the Sith Warrior as he possibly could have for the rest of his life....though even then the Warrior would probably have tracked him down and killed him eventually.

To be fair, Theron's reasons for betrayal are much better (And his execution of it is VASTLY less insulting. Two silver battle droids, Quinn? SERIOUSLY?). Quinn's loyalties are quite obviously to himself first, and whomever he thinks can advance his 'career' furthest second.

There is an "official" solution to each major story beat, oftentimes if you're playing an Imperial that's going to be the obvious dark side choice, whereas with the Republic your generally accepted solution is going to be the light side option available. However, things are less straightforward if you're playing an Alliance-centric character since your ultimate loyalties are to your closest allies -- Theron, Lana, Koth and company -- and your personal decisions are just that. Personal. Whatever you do during any Alliance related story is entirely up to you, the player.

That’s not the darkest way of killing Quin though. Make him grovel and then kill him. That’s a very cruel way of killing him and something that I just can’t do.

You can still kill him. If your character is a sith warrior and you chose to ally with the republic, he will still turn himself in for betraying you a second time, the only difference is a bit of the dialogue, were its less about love and more about loyalty.

You could originally kill him after he betrayed you to Darth Baras, but that option was eventually removed since at the time, killing Quinn meant that you would also be killing off the Sith Warrior's only Healer companion. But now that all companions can fill all roles, that's no longer necessary.

Utter Disappointment. the reason he betrayed the empire is because he knew your character would find him and kill him eventually. and thought his best chance for survival was to surrender to you. just like he did the first time he betrayed you

I'm not gonna shed any tears for him, and if my Warrior (who is male and romancing Dark Side Jaesa) gets the chance, he will do the same damn thing. I literally hate Quinn with a passion. He betrays you once to Baras, and then he can betray you a second time, and yet he expects you to forgive *both* of those betrayals as a Sith who had been named the *EMPEROR'S WRATH* of all things? Yeah, no. If Quinn was smart, he would have just fled and tried to hide somewhere the Warrior would be unlikely to find him after finding out that the Warrior survived his *second* betrayal. I could forgive him for his first betrayal (he *was* trapped between the in-fighting of two exceedingly powerful Sith at the time)....but not the second betrayal.

@@gamester512 the second betrayal is just as forgiving if not more forgiving. He was forced to abandon his goal of finding the SW because someone else wanted the Wrath gone. That someone was Lorman and if anything he should be the center of the Wrath’s anger not Quinn. Malavai held his oath both directly and indirectly. The only time he ever broke his oath was when he found himself caught in between the infighting of the Sith and had to make a choice. He made a very bad choice for which the option to beat him could be made, but at least he made a choice. Thankfully Empress Acina put him back in action which she also wanted an alliance with the Alliance. We weren’t aware of his whereabouts but one can assume he did ask the Empress for his transfer back to your service. Acina is a very understanding person and she finally gave him permission to do so once Iokath was under control to a certain extent (assuming you didn’t do the foolish move of siding with the Republic then he deserts the Empire for you) and that is that. I don’t see a betrayal anywhere. He was simply delayed.

I'm still waiting for us to just get a "non-canon" Darth Vader or Palpatine companion (I'm kidding). :P

It's more that for some reason, we weren't given an option to kill him when he betrayed us first. Also, the nerve that he asks to be pardoned from prison is laughable.

The guy absolutely deserves it. He betrays you once to Baras, and he can then betray you a second time on Iokath, and the person he betrays is a *SITH* for crying out loud! Since when are Sith known for being forgiving of betrayals? It's even worse as far as I'm concerned if Quinn betrayed you despite the fact that your female Warrior literally romanced and married him, and yet he *still* betrays her to Baras and again on Iokath? Nope. He deserves to die if his love for the Warrior is seriously *that* shallow that he would still prioritize his own survival over that of the woman he supposedly loves. As for why it's an option, you'd be surprised how many people wanted to be able to kill Quinn (I'm one of them!). I still find it beyond irritating that even though all companions can now fill all roles, they did not bring back the option of being able to kill Quinn for betraying you to Baras during the Sith Warrior's story. You could originally kill Quinn for betraying you to Baras, but that option was removed since at the time, all companions were locked to a single role and Quinn was the Warrior's only Healer companion.

Yeah, I noticed the male Bounty Hunter, I liked the old voice better, not saying the new one is bad, but I'm just too used to the old one. I hope the playful glee of the male smuggler remains at least.
