You deserve many thanks for a very helpful video. My wife smashed the screen on her phone and, following your video, I was able to complete a successfull repair. I wasn't able to procure a genuine Samsung chassis. The one I received required moving the flex cables, the black gasket that goes around the loudspeaker, the rectangular cushion that sits under the loudspeaker, the flex cables for the power and volume switches as well as the contact pads and insulating rectangles under the motherboard from the old chasis. With careful use of tweezers and an exacto knife I was able to lift them all off and move them. I observe in your video that even the Samsung service pack doesn't include the power and volume switches. So some moving of these more delicate components is still required.

Really nice and helpful video, which helped almost through the end. After connected the battery again, the phone kept rebooting. I found out it was because the flex cables for the volume and power buttons wasnt a part of the new screen, just like in ur video. I carefully took them from the old screen and connected them to the new, and everything worked fine!

Thanks! As far as I can tell you did not show how to remove the flex button assembly from the old chassis, or reassembly into the new chassis. How we do this, it looks very fragile.

I managed to peel it off with a razor blade and just put it on the new one

Thanks for this video, it was a breeze to exchange the display module. Unfortunately I broke my phone again and now I'm trying to save my data. The connector for the sub board octa cable on the mainboard is broken. Would the phone start without it attached? If yes, I'd buy a new battery so that I could save my data.

The screen separated from the frame and now the frame is stuck inside the outer frame which I can no longer find how to remove, I'm stuck for ideas on how to remedy this because I can't find any place where I can insert the pick or other blade type tool to prise them apart. All I have achieved is to scratch up the chassis and damage the frame around the sim slot which I am not exactly worries about as when the sim is in place it wouldn't matter so much as it is not snapped off, it's just that I seem to be doing more damage than repairs and I feel like giving up. How much do you charge to repair and how long would it take to repair it and return it if I supply the screen I have here that I was going to fit? I have repaired phones before and never had problems like this before, this is the worst phone I have ever tried to take apart, I feel beat!
