This is a quick little "test" of the Samsung EX1 (Samsung TL500) Digicam vs. the iPhone 14Pro for some random "street photography" to see what is more fun and what are the "better" quality photos. Oh and also a little bit of the Lumix LX3 / Leica D-Lux 4...

I've just bought an ex-1 in near mint condition for less than £100 UK). it's a cracking little camera that now goes everywhere with me.

I have this nice little camera. Just a note, you can unscrew the ring around the lens and attach a small tube which is a bit longer than the full extension of the lens and attach so you can attach a filter to it.

I also have a Lumix LX3 too and I really love the dynamic black and white photos, it produce such a pleasant contrast and textures.

I have EX1 ( 2 of them ) and PP Retro looks great. You should try to find Fujifilm QX2 , small ,compact and have Xtrans II. I paid 300€, bit expensive but it was new and i have warranty 🙂

Hey Michael, vielen Dank für deine Review hier zu der Kamera, das war für dann eine klare Kaufempfehlung für mich, auch wenn sie schwierig zu bekommen war. Ich bin absolut beeindruckt was diese Kamera leistet. Ich finde auch die 10megapixel sind hier nur eine Zahl, die eigentliche Bildschärfe und Qualität der Bilder steht modernen Kameras in nichts nach, was auch der Schneider Kreuznach Linse geschuldet ist, auch der CCD Sensor liefert hier beeindruckende Ergebnisse ! Mach gern noch ein 2. Video wo du vll noch mehr auf die Bilder und den Sensor eingehst würde mich freuen. Viele Grüsse nach Chemnitz.

Very interesting video Michael. I have an excellent condition EX1 (bought in Vienna for 50€) and I didn't realise that there is an automatic lens cap for it. Can you let me know where you got yours? Thanks!

I have one of these. Just do a Google search for 'jjc alc-6'. The covers work really well. 👍

Do you thjnk the Samsung ex1 is still worth close to 400 if a person could find a new one ? Debating on Panasonic lx10 or Samsung ex1

lx10 most definitely haha, a friend of mine got the ex1 for 50 eur.

well I don’t think the EX1 is as good as a LX10 … even tho the ex1 is a nice one I would not get a EX1 in good condition for over 100-120 bucks (EUR / USD) I got mine for 75EUR

Hi. In my country Malaysia got exactly 1 NEW unit EX1. But it's a bit pricey about USD370 more or less. Should i buy it?

As a EX1 user i wouldn't buy it for this price. I'd for sure go for used one. New one may be good for a collector - just put it in cabinet and use from time to time.
