Huge help! I have watched 5-6 videos listening for anyone else’s filter to make a clicking sound. Thank you very much for posting this. I had not noticed the arrows/marks. You could make them a little more prominent, Samsung. I am off to try it out!

I am having huge problems getting this filter out. Not o l'y it is located in very awkward place at the bottom, near,the floor there is no indication about it having a Child Proof Lock on it. This is the FIRST VIDEO I see mentioning it. I still have to figure out how to remove the Filter, but I thank you for mentioning it.

Thank you so much ! I cleaned out the filter and put it back in. Water went everywhere with the next load of wash. Your help saved me so much time and frustration!

thanks a lot buddy. girlfriend couldn't figure out where the smell was coming from and discovered this trap was full of filth. All our clothes were smelling and we thought it was the mildew built up in the door seal but the milde was coming from this trap. She didn't get it back in properly but it felt like it was in perfectly. I wasn't sure what was going on until I saw your video. I appreciate it.

Oh and another thing, somebody came out to look at something else plumbing wise and said that he know all about appliances and fix them as well. I asked him what he thought the smell was, if we should get a new washer or not and he said that the front door seal needed to be replaced. well he was wrong.

If you’re struggling to reinstall the coin trap, a couple of tips… -Look inside the hole and you’ll see a piece of plastic sticking out on the left side. Make sure to line the cutout in the coin trap with that. If you lined it up correctly the cap of the coin trap should insert more fully. -Line up the square mark on the cap to the small arrow on the rim of the hole. It shouldn’t take too much force to screw it in.

Have you encountered a clicking sound at the start of a cycle? I did put the filter back with that cutout in coin trap with the plastic sticking out and its still having the clicking sound.

@@lijon912 I encountered that horrible clicking sound but as long as it's not leaking you should be fine. I think it normally does that sound.

Thanks a lot! I didn't understand what was going on why it leaked. My wife read on reddit you had to put grease on the threads. I knew there was more to it. Thanks a ton!

Ok not sure if this was mentioned but .... There is a grove or a knotch in the lint slash coin trap . That knotch lines up with a thing in the back of the hole if you dont line up that notch then that is why it is so hard to put the trap back in. It only goes in one way

I have this exact model and was messing with it and when it didnt just simply unscrew i started searching youtube for videos. After watching yours ive decided im just leaving this alone. What a terrible god awful design for what should be a simple thing.

That's great idea until it clogs and you get the e5 error that won't allow the load to drain. Then it's 3am and gross and full and stuck and singing repeatedly.

Thank you for those tips. I have the same problem. The filter is so hard to open and then close it the right way. Even an expert technician was having the same issue when he came to do the maintenance 😅. Now that I did it by my self, I think I use so much force to trying to open it that the handle came out and I’m still not able to open it up 😢. I will try your tips.

Help. I cannot open the coin trap. It just clicks as I turn it and am unable to open it. I tried to push in still wasn't working

Im having the same issue. Did you ever get it resolved? Edit: i got it! You gotta push in really hard and turn counter clockwise. Use two hands to turn it. If you hear clicking then you're not pushing hard enough.

If the filter wont open a d only clicks use a screw driver to hold down the back ring and then twist. Also clean the filter inside and the outside ring of any debris to prevent any leaking.

Definitely a Pain . Also hate how the front of the soap dispenser falls off when you use it a few times. I Hate it also leaks soap on to the front and then the paint is peeling off and it rust out in spots way too soon :/

Do you have any vids on cleaning the back inlet filter of a Samsung front loader, 7.5? I have a length of gal pipe that sheds debris occasionally. I have found a filter with a plastic bit that can be pulled out and cleaned and then there's a 2nd screen mesh that I've cleaned too. Next is a rubbery piece that I think may be blocked but I cant see what next to do. Thnx

The cut out at the at the end of filter needs to be at about 7 o'clock to mate with notch inside pump cavity. The handle will sit at 12 and 6 when done correctly.

@@MelvinZoopers well you seem to have an issue, albeit most of my customers have no issues with the clicker filter. You also called it a child proof filter.. you just don't understand how it works. If something is stuck in pump cavity the filter is locked in place requiring the aw to be disassembled to remove the foreign object. But with this design the filter does not turn with threads so it can be removed. Try reading your user manual before trashing samsung. As you are the one who just doesn't understand, it's actually a great design.
