I did hold the new A3 but am a bit disapointed, design in A3 2016 in better, all in all spec. are only a bit better. So I wont upgrade from 2016 A3 just because of waterproofing.

It's not really fair comparing these two. A3 is known for smaller body with hardware in the budget area. Where the A5 is a little bit higher when it comes to hardware.

A 2017 series cam is much small than a 16 series but cam is much good 16 mp while a 2016 has 13 mp back & 5 front while a 2017 has both 16 mp cam front & back dude thats why its better cam wise but design wise a 16 is flag ship of samsung its like baby note 5:)
