@@nickackermanchannel me too….had to change my knackered IPhone. Crapped my pants when I saw the prices of an iPhone 14. Great sales guy guided me to the A55 and extremely happy. Very quick indeed and big bright screen. I shall be using my Microsoft account to save photos instead of iCloud.

Watching this on my Galaxy A55!! I've been using this awesome phone for 2 weeks now, and it's a really premium built, well-balanced smartphone! This phone goes to a different direction like the camera is kinda more natural and its screen display is not that vivid but it's doing okay because it's not that kinda pain in the eyes when looking at the screen for a long period of time. The battery life is much better. It lasts really long, like 2 days. Performance wise, it's doing good, and it doesn't heat that much. It's much more efficient now.

use to had “Oppo Rs” (had it for less year at 2016-2017?, not sure) very old model cast lag and battery is bad back then and got switch to an iphone. I had iphone 8 plus for almost 5-6 years now.. (since 2018-2024.) and now i am going to upgrade to galaxy A55 !! i can’t wait to get my galaxy phone someday.. i am very happy with this videos. I had to watch every videos about A55 before getting it and i am 100% centrally happy with android/galaxy or whatever the case is. Gotta be the best phone ever. Thank you for your amazing videos!! Was gonna get the A35 instead of this (up from the A51) but ultimately decided on the A55. My old phone was the slowest thing money could buy it was ridiculous, and after people criticised the 1380 chip, I was a bit hesitant. The aluminium chassis gives it a bonus point.

Wished they enabled RAW photos by default and with no need to void warranty. Older A series users like that of A54 say it's possible thru root or so. Though it was prolly done on purpose to not cannibalize those power but silly microsd card-less FLAGSHIPS.

Like Carl PEI says the amount of cameras a phone has doesn't make the picture quality better. Most likely to quantify cheap lenses to make it more appealing and make the average consumer feel like their phone has advanced cameras. But this is another example of if it's not gonna benefit us don't add it on. Them 5mp or 2mp cameras need to go

Thank you for comparison. Is that S24 plus that you got made in Sapphire Blue color? To me, they have completely ruined the regular S and S plus series with the new A55. I do not feel like buying that line anymore due to how similar it looks to A55 and even the A54 at this point .. Also, I really do not like the Titanium frame on the Ultra series. It feels so dull and plasticky compared to sheer aluminum.

The S line has thinner bezels, sleeker and lighter and more premium feel than A55 while performing much more consistently and much better cameras, while on video they look similar the S Plus is way nicer in person when you hold them side by side. The A55 is a BIG step up from A54. But it’s not playing in the S Plus league

@@nickackermanchannel Thanks, I am aware. I held both phones at my carrier. However, the design language is so similar it's basically impossible to differentiate from a distance whilst someone is holding the phone in their hands or making a call .. You cannot tell these days whether it's a $1K or $350 phone and that's something Samsung shouldn't allow .. I understand it's good strategy for them as there are more people with less money who want to look like they are buying a premium phone - but for those who actually buy the S series are now downgraded .. Apple wouldn't do such a thing to their customers

Yes, the A54 wasn't great. I'll look into this one but not expect wonders. The iPhone 15 is a solid choice, though, because it has a much more powerful processor

Awesome video! Please weigh in- Brand new A55 or pristine S22ULTRA for just under 150 USD more? (From a legit online store with a one year warranty). I don't game and no social media (unless you count YT) But battery life is a big priority for me . I get battery anxiety lol, I'm using an S7 that I got used 2 years ago and the battery is kaka. I get 4 hours on power saving mode.

I am sick and tired of the superficial reviews of phones these days. Reviewers talk of 'bezels' as if their couple of millimetres width mattered; reviewers talk of cameras; chip-sets, GPUs, and displays; above a certain level of quality it doesn't matter. Gone are any suggestion of sensitivity to signal-strength. Gone are any suggestions that the music Digital Analogue Converter (DAC) may be questionable (and that is why the manufacturers get away with really bad quality DACs on even premium phones. Now to listen to decent quality music we need to plug a 'dongle-DAC' into the USB socket to get decent music quality. The device is for communications also, but we hear nothing of this. There is no 'given' of high-quality in the signal-gathering aspect. Reviewers never test what it sounds like in low-signal areas, or even consider that. Go on. Dare to be different, and review phones as phones, and not merely as clunky indifferent-quality cameras that play games

@@nickackermanchannel Then I stand corrected. And apologise. In general terms, I'm railing about the superficial reviews we get elsewhere, that are not unboxings, and it's annoying. And I've seen tons recently before purchasing a Samsung A55. I was a previous iPhone 6 plus user, and I only bought a new phone to run banking apps that are not supported on IOS 12.5.7 any more. iPhones are expensive in Indonesia, plus thought I liked the performance gains a new phone would make. I have in a short week, learned to hate Android for its tendency to cater to a strange mix of idiots and gadget wizzes. I hate the Play Store with its apps and ads being too in your face. We'll see. So again apologies for coming down so hard on your video.

Mid Rangers offer you a brand new phone at the price of old used up flagships. Also longer software support as the aged flagship is also going to be getting less support as it is an older phone. And while you will get better hardware, you will get likely a used scratched phone with aged battery. Mid Rangers have their place for those who want a brand new affordable option.

thanks for the review. The only thing that bothers me is the weight - 213 grams is too much. Samsung should offer lighter A series phones in the future. the only compact option is S24 this year which is 2.5 times the price.
