To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. kzfaq.infoUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

Wired earbuds will always win for me. Sound quality over convenience for me.

I use my AKG earbuds faithfully. The simple answer is you don't really get the same "UMPH" in the Galaxy Buds. That's not to say that the Galaxy buds are bad at all. But it falls under that age old topic of wired vs wireless. Wired will always have less lag than wireless and not lose that sound quality.

i bought the akgfor my ipad but the sound still come out of the spearkers yet i can turn the volume up and down with the little + and - button, so the c type is connecting to the ipad so why doesnt the sound come through the ear buds?

Watching the video on S10, with AKG earphones,, I agree with everything you said, but two things to mention, 1st, Equalizer is available in the settings, so toggling between the profiles can also be done with the wired AKG through the phone's settings, or a premium player app. 2nd, the buttons are very convenient. There is a small pointy thing at the button, which is used to play/pause/call handling. So i can understand the position of that button even without looking. So far, the AKGs are more than satisfying. But I do want to buy buds+, only for the convenience of being truly wireless.

I'm kinda confused here. You didnt really say if the Galaxy Buds+ have better sound quality or not. One thing I dont like about the AKG buds I'm using rn is the bass. I used to use $15 JBL earphones that had way more bass, and kinda made me feel like they had better sound quality because of it. So I would really like to know if the Buds+ have better sound in your opinion.

The wired akg earbuds are super uncomfortable, none of the tips fit my ear, they constantly fall out, the wire makes a horrendously irritating echo sound everytime they rub on my clothes. The buds are way better in terms of ease of use, however the sound quality is not that much better but the features that come with the buds make them better !

The buds sound great and I also use the left ear only when I drive. The built in microphones really work well for the ambience and allow you to do whatever you want at high volumes and still be able to hear around you outside of the ear, i.e. oncoming traffic while bike riding or the doorbell when relaxing at home. Worth it !!!.

The original buds sound now is some kind of a mess. I guess, maybe because of the updates that it had received. Being compared with the akg earphone is nowhere near the superb sounds. Haven't tried the buds+ yet but I won't be getting it. If it had anc maybe I would.

TL;DW? Sound quality is comparable, but price is $150 different. It shouldn't have taken 6 minutes to say that.

I have both and i have to say the wired get louder amd have more bass with good range but they muddy under heavy highs with like drums in the background unlike the buds plus which do there most to keep it all even so you can hear the wide sound stage all at once but the buds cant handle the heavy thumps of bass heavy areas but they make do and it definitely don't sound bad just flat when compared to say the type c akgs not to mention im not trying to mess up my type c port with headphones at work or when working out so the buds plus for me so i can work a 12. Amd have music all day damn near

Coming from the note 8 to the Ultra I know how decent the AKG ear buds are. However I finally caved and got the Buds plus. I have to say. I'm impressed. The most useful feature for me is the ambient sound toggle for work. Since they do create a solid seal in ear. Very comfortable after a while you forget you are wearing them. I have even fallen asleep with them on and the morning sounds didn't wake me up. Not sure if I recommend sleeping with them on but if you are someone who sleeps with ear plugs. These are just as good. My only issues with them are the accidental skips and pause. Even happens wearing a hoodie. And the worst part about them is they will eventually fall out once or twice if you don't re adjust every once in a while. Other then that they are a dub!

Man, of all the earbuds I've ever received with a phone, the AKGs are fantastic and the best by far. Nice balanced sound with a good bass presence. I'm picky with this shit so, was a nice bonus to the Samsung S20+. I imagine the wireless buds sound a bit better, but no complaints for the AKGs.

Tbh the wired are good but not for working out and without anc. I use the wired on my computer and buds for everything else

I don't have an issue with wired headphones ... but I DO have an issue with these earbuds with the weird angles to them. I have discovered that if I try to use them as one normally would ... with the wire coming down from your ear, they are utterly useless. My ear canals go upwards, apparently. So they only way I can actually have the AKGs stay in is to flip them essentially 180 degrees so the wire is coming out at the top of my ears. If I do that, it looks stupid, feels weird, but they stay in and sound alright. But the issue would be avoided altogether by just having the damn earbuds NOT have a sharp angle to them ... straight designs have never given me issues. Yeah, yeah, they can't help it if I have weird mutant ears ... but they should design things that make the product accessible to all. YMMV.

i've never wear the galaxy buds before. but I think the wired one is a lil bit too low on the sound volume. even if I put it on max level, it's not as loud as my iPhone 6. my iPhone 6 is far better than my galaxy s20.
