I bought this phone 3 days ago and performs perfectly and with a normal use the battery life is of 2 days, I'm happy with it.

Hi Ash, do you happen to know how to sort apps alphabetically on this phone? I've just bought one and can't find a means of doing it. There's an A-Z button but all that does is to add a small white icon with a horizontal red line through it with the word DONE appearing top right of screen. I've no idea what that's supposed to do and haven't tapped it yet. Also, in the user manual which I downloaded in PDF, I can't find any reference to sorting apps alphabetically in that either.

Hi Ash, As always great review. I would like to highlight few points about J7 and J5. My brother got old j7 and his friend has got Redmi note 3, following points I have observed. 1st most of people don't respect brand like xiomi and Le, so u always have pride of owning Samsung device over other. If you have phones from xiomi people consider u low profile people. Camera of redmi is not good in low light. even older j7 click much better pictures. Beside samsung has got good reputation in camera so friends always prefer samsung phone to take picture We were transferring movies and picture and redmi was stuck due to hybrid slot where as samsung was having 64GB card with 16 GB internal. (Got office sim and personal sim so dual sim is must) So every time redmi guy need to clear his previous pics to get new one. We hardly play any high end game so least bothered about gaming, same goes for memory management. Basic need is that, it should hold 6 to 7 web page and 1 youtube video at max. Even though it has 720p screen still I will anytime prefer Amled over IPS 1080p and I am happy that samsung has used 720p screen as 1080 will put pressure on processor and will make it leggy. I love watching your speed test review but does that 2 to 4 sec delay really matter in day to day life?? So overall I will say following point r most important for me. 1) Phone should be lag free 2) Good battery 3) Fast recharge time 4) Dual sim and memory expansion 5) Good camera. I think all 5 points r valid in j5 and j7 and u find lot of buyer for them. It is not that Samsung buyer r fool, it is just that these guys find more value in it( I am not samsung fan). Beside this overall I can see small issue from these brand r more than samsung. Even one of my friend drooped his redmi 3 and his sim card tray is lost now. Just bcoz of this phone become completely useless.

A decent review mate. My S4 completely died last week (sudden death syndrome) and needed a phone quickly, so just got this J5 on a contract for very nice £12 month. It's being delivered tomorrow an i just wanted some pace of mind, on how good the phone is.. It sounds quite alright. Apart from you said I could probably get a slightly better Specced phone for the same Priceline. And yes, I probably could. But even so, it's a Samsung and I just love Samsung phones. They stand out for me. So even tho I could get a slightly better phone with nicer specs, it just wouldn't be a Samsung, and I'd probably be dissapointed with my self.. Lol.. If you know what I mean.. Plus the Theme Store compatibility with this phone is a Major thing for me.. Thanks for the review bro...

honestly when i was given this phone i thought it is just a lame phone from samsung. now after a week using it i'm loving it in every aspect' sound quality is good camera is good but the battery life in this phone is amazing, it can go easily through a day of usage and still use it in the half of the other day. it's an amazing phone.
