I don't understand the hate of the fingerprint sensor on the s8. It's great, fast and you get used to touching it right pretty quickly, by my own experience.

Imagine being so impatient that 1 second faster opening apps matters

I have a s8 plus with one ui update and I see no reason to get the s10 :)

This is how you SHOULD do a comparison video, with identical wallpapers, sounds crazy, but it really helps show the difference in screen in most cases

Spend 500$ more if you want to save 0.003s of your life

I had a s8+ I have large hands but my fingerprint went in majority of the time no issues

"S10 is way faster". Lord knows I need my clock app to open 0.2 seconds faster. Well worth the money.

Galaxy S8 is more sleek and elegant looking.

Been an s8+ guy since it came out,and finally upgraded with the s10+. Even pre-ordered it just to get an early hands on review. Honestly I miss my s8+ 😤😤😣😣🙄😥

Maybe there was a hardware problem with the fingerprint scanner on the S8. I never had issues with the scanner on mine.

Im getting $300 on the trade in on my s8 for the new s10... that price is better than selling on Ebay and way better trying to sell used locally. Hard to say no that deal... especially with the free $130 Buds.

Seriously, do the finger print sensor better. It isn't that hard, dude. I use it all the time and it is easy and fast.

Watching on my s8+ and the only reason I'm upgrading to the 10 tomorrow is because I just cracked my screen. I always rocked the gel case it came with and never used a screen protector. Not a scratch aside from all the nice cracks now. Still a solid device and you can now buy them second hand in New condition for a little over 200 if you know where to look. Maybe less?!

S8 is still one of the best phones

I had the S8+ ... It was a brilliant phone - never let me down once... I was sad to let it go, traded into the Samsung Store for the S10+. I would highly recommend the S8+.

i have the s9 and im definetly gonna skip the notch or camera hole generation of phones.

Because the S10 has such slim bezels, it makes the S8 look like it has HUGE bezels XD I can't believe I used an S8 before! I'm loving my S10;) The S10 does not have a pressure sensitive phone button. I LOVE the in display fingerprint scanner:) The S10's scanner works faster when you press with a little bit of pressure but then remove your finger, so you're almost tapping it.

S8 doesnt have problem with fingerprint, problem is your position of finger bcs you scaned it bad in settings

I just needed a confirmation if there's much difference in display quality and after hearing your thoughts it's nice to know the s8 still has a competitive display in 2019 after all.

I love my s8 plus. I'll upgrade to the s10 later this spring but I'm not in any hurry.

I've had my S8 since January 2018 and it works very good, I love it. I don't plan on upgrading for a while.

For those people that own a sg8 and thinking to get the sg10 to me the sg8 still have the power to keep with everyday use. I got a few apps that doesn't want to work with android 10. The sg8 fill like a more polish phone.Also I like a little bit more the galaxy 8 screen. If you are coming from a sg8 don't paid more than $550 for the sg10.

Upgraded from S8+ yesterday. General software there isn't a whole lot of difference. But the camera is a whole new level on the S10.

Nice video, never had an issue with my s8 finger sensor. I do notice that after like 4 months I have to delete and re add my fingerprints because it seems to be less accurate over time. I just re-register them occasionally when it gets sluggish

You'd have to swipe down the notification bar (twice to show all toggles) and press the button that says "Wireless PowerShare" and then it will bring up a message showing you how to use PowerShare. Remember, everytime you want to use this feature, you have to do the steps above.

New incoming software slows the phone down. I haven't installed software since January 2018 and now it's as fast as s10

I recently went from a S8 to a Pixel 6 (yuck) to a galaxy S21. My fave is def the S8. It's my fault for the falls that came close to ruining the camera.. S8 is easily used by one hand. The screen is still vivid and to me even clearer than the s21. Plus you've got sd slot. I'll be buying a refurbished s8 or an s10.

I have an s8 and I really like it. I like the way music sounds on it. I don't like the way music sounds on more recent models. I think it's the multiple speakers, or maybe the speaker placement.

My Galaxy S8 is going to upgrade to a Galaxy S11 or 12 13... these Galaxy phones are super reliable

I have still s8.. I'm not saying that s10 isn't better phone (it's newer) but my s8 is working perfecly fine with one ui. I have customized it , and it have that modern look like new samsung devices. I will use it few more years and upgrade when s12 or s13 comes out.. that will be worthly upgrade.

I refuse to get rid of my brand new galaxy s8 for a phone with practically gimmicky upgrades. Samsung if you do not update the s8 to android 10 I'm jumping ship. I'm tired of these damn companies taking our money for nothing when the phones we got are more than capable of receiving software support for years but because of corporate greed they will never satisfy us existing people. I mean eventually I will have to get rid of it because of the battery so instead of banking on software to get people to upgrade they just need to wait for the phones we have now to get old and deal with it until WE want to upgrade never forcing us in subtle ways to do so

S10 is twice expensive then s8

The s10 is absolute garbage. I "upgraded" from an s8, I wish I had saved my money and kept my old phone. The quality of the s8 display was amazing. The s10 is awful, it looks like a 480p! Colours are all washed out and the image is blurry. All skin tones are just a mess of blurred pixels which seem to move on their own. I took the phone back to the shop but was told that the display is fine, it's just not as good as the s8! Why call it an upgrade then! Stay away from the s10.

I think the fingerprint issue is an issue with how u set it up. I have no issues whatsoever and my phone opens up hella fast again no issues opening or even finding where to place my finger no offense to u. After viewing this video ot only determines that's the s10 is like 3.5 seconds faster then the s8. Other then that the s8 is still a dope phone in comparison! I mean to each there own but why spend more money on a s10?

They are both the same phone with different speeds and one has a better camera than the other also not to mention the s8 has the one ui now.

These are Lithium ion batteries. They don't degrade, unless being charged from 0%, to 100%, more than 1,000+ times. Charging from 50% to 100% can be done more than 5,000 times with zero degradation. So unless you've been utterly abusing the phone, the battery will still be good as new after a few years.

I think "Galaxy S8" is one of the most convenient device 'cause of it's screen size (5.8 inches).

i use a case on my s8, no problem with finding the finger print sensor. still loving my s8, well not as much with the pie update but yes still love my s8
