Thank you! It was an extremely easy job thanks to your instructions. My glass broke quite a while ago and I should have replaced it sooner. One of my camera lenses has some damage because I waited too long to replace my broken glass, but thankfully the camera still works.

Super helpful video. I changed my lens, but I made the mistake by not shaking the phone after I got the lens off and now I have small bits of glass inside the new lens. Completely my fault because you even mention to do it.

You're welcome, sure that's a way to fix the issue. You can choose which methods is easier for you. The price glass alone vs whole back is not too different. Doing the camera glass alone is fast and let you keep your oem back in place. Doing the whole back is fast also you get a new back and camera glass (just make sure you have a back with good quality double-sided tape). For a shop it's less time to do the back completely than removing broken glass and installing new glass 😂 they make more money in less time.

Is it OK to use a heating pad like I use for my sore back to heat up the glue? It doesn't get too hot but I don't know what temperature is too hot...

you can try but I think it won't heat enough. The heat from the heat gun literally would burn your skin. You can do it with a regular Hairdryer that is less heat but will certainly work.

There not really a good way to distinguish. As long as the glass is clear and has not glass defect it's good👍🏽

Hi.. I have bought SAMSUNG S20 FE 5G in 2020.. Actually it is going to complete 2yr .. 2days ago I have gone to dj program.. I have recorded some videos in front camera.. Now it is showing some pink dots in 2 3 places while turning on camera but not in the display.. Can this problem be shutout by software update?? Or without changing camera module... Plz.help me kindly

What are the two holes under the flash at 3:00? Is it a sensor?

Those are for the external microphone. The smaller hole for sure the bigger hole maybe (or just a hole made during design and later they found no use for it) You can have a better angle of those holes in and out in my battery door replacement of this S20FE

Changing the glass on this model specially should not cause any water resistance issue (camera glass area) the amount of area the glass and double sided tape goes is big and things should stick together. On the s21 where the tape is just at the edge of the circular lens that device will not stand much in water after a repair. I tried a s21 in water after back and camera glass repair and it failed got water damage. S20 series have more surface the tape has to go in that's why I think it's a bit better, but just try to use 1/3 rule. If previously you were using in water 9mn your new maximum time is 3 minutes just to be safe. ( All these is linked to the repair done right 👍🏽)

Not exactly sur what you call plastic coating. Might have a plastic film on the glass but that can be removed by peeling it off. Coating will be more like something permanent

You will need to reopen clean without damaging the cameras, test the cameras, reseal the device. If it doesn't work. You need to find which camera is bad and replace it. Or replace all the cameras if they are all bad

Only way without breaking the glass would be to remove the back completely then heat the camera glass from outside then press on the glass outward it will be off and still be in one piece.

I recommend avoiding water because there's no final answer if it's water resistant as before or diminished after a repair. It depends on the parts you use, the tape used etc... Ok the particles on the cameras should be pushed away with air. I started using air blower to remove some of that dust. Trying to remove everything by hand can severely damage the cameras. I'd recommend try to blow air and minimal touching to remove remaining dust and test the cameras before closing the device.

Not really if done right. Never had a camera damage (did more than 10+ camera glass same principles) Should not be a problem if you want to be safe use lowest setting on heat gun

Glossy, with the galaxy S20 fe they all are glossy finish. I had this pink and blue they all were kind of glossy looking.

In a regular shop I don't really know the accurate price they may charge you between $40 to $100 depending on the shop size and "reputation"

I’m that case the glass replacement will not fix it. You will need to find the camera that's faulty then replace it. This is why I recommend changing the cracked glass as soon as possible waiting for long will affect the camera sensor

Humm maybe you took too long to replace and dust had accumulated on the camera. If that is the case you might need new camera modules. You need to find the camera that's bad hopefully it's only one 👋🏽

1- I think your phone did not have an original double sided tape from Samsung (it cannot be that easy) 2- without heat also 🤣 it sound like you just peeled it off

@@ersbit well it did..yet it was very easy..tape was black and infact it was easy because I was able to lift one side of the tape and pulled the whole thing off..it was strong but easy
