Yes mee too in S20 plus,but after one ui 2.5 ,the 60fps and qhd settings, the phone was super without much heat and also battery life i can manage with 5 to 6 hour's Screen on time.

Yes; the temperature of my s20 plus 5g goes up suddenly when I open camera app ; I dont have that much heat when I play pubG ; I donno whats wrong with camera and cpu but I think It gets alittle better after UI2.5 but not sure! Hope samsung do sth about it!!

Yes the overheating has been improved since the last update in September. The issue still persists, but it isn't horrible anymore. I will do an update video soon and compare to the oneplus 8. That seems like a better phone choice.

@@toki...-7974 Yeah. The camera heating up the phone and battery draining very fast are the only two issues. There is no proper power management done on Exynos. It always uses more power than is needed. It also heats up pretty quickly on continuous mobile data usage after more than 10 minutes.

@@toki...-7974 I wouldn't recommend against Samsung if you can get the Snapdragon version. But otherwise, please don't bother buying Samsung. One plus and every other brand is way better. Even the 120hz screen is a gimmick to me because you cannot use the 120hz at full resolution. You have to bring down the res to full hd in order to get the 120hz which is pointless to me with a high end phone like this..

My video is still in progress. However, I can tell you now that you should buy the OP8 if the s20 you're able to buy is only the Exynos version. If you can buy the snapdragon S20 for the same price, then get the s20. For Exynos S20, get the OP8 hands down. The camera is plenty fine for everyday use and it is quick to focus.

The newest software helps a lot. But it still overheats a little. But substantially better than when I filmed this video

Exynos is shitty. Go with SD only if possible.

After the oneui 2.5 update, overheating has definitely been improved.

Did you update to the most recent software? Since updating a lot of the issues I had mentioned have been fixed actually.

I'm coming from s9+ to either s20+ or s20 ultra both exynos. I am so disappointed in the phones. I am trying to choose but I can't. On paper the ultra battery is better but actually using it the s9+ is usually better, but the battery goes down sooo fast in the s9+. I can't believe samsung have done this to their loyal fan base. I would appreciate any input as I am hugely struggling to choose between the two and need to make a decision soon.

Hey again and thanks for your continued support and feedback on this channel. Great question on plastic vs glass and cell reception - you're right in that we don't place enough emphasize on signal strength now-a-days. Metal phones are the worst for cell coverage, which is why HTC phones and iPhone 6/8 have to have the plastic antenna wrapped around the metal unibody back. However, there is research out there that glass does interfere with signal strength slightly as well, but not that much. I guess the benefits of wireless charging, feel, and strength of glass outweighs its minimal wireless interference issues. Plastic has zero interference issues and will be best for signal reception of the three materials. Though its downfall is that it does not have wireless charging capabilities (yet). Its a good topic of discussion, I may do a video on it later! In terms of your next phone, I would not pick any of the options you listed. Note 10+ is already a flagship phone by todays standards, and you will not realize too much difference with any of the existing phones on the market, including the Note 20/20 Ultra. I can feel that you are like me and just want a new device to play with - in this case, I recommend waiting for the iPhone 12 which is just around the corner. You'll get a new ecosystem to play with, a new iOS never experienced before, and perhaps even ability to pair with new a new Apple Watch. This is personally what my upgrade plan is!

@@ultiprice yeah. You are absolutely correct. I just am like you in wanting a new device to play even when the existing one is perfectly alright. On my Exynos Note 10+, I am noticing a hell lot of frame drops even in day to day usage. And that is frustrating specially when you are on 60Hz displays. Somehow the OneUi 2.1 which is currently the latest in my country seems to be getting worse on my Note 10+ Exynos. I will definitely wait for the iPhone 12 as you said👍👍🙂 Meanwhile, if I still wanted to change, which phone should I go for? The S20 Plus will be better even on the exynos variant, simply due to the larger battery. The recent update to the exynos variant has greatly improved battery life and overheating issues. So it's great now!

Yeah it's very unfortunate. I much prefer the oneplus 8. I just did that comparison video. Much better phone.

@@ultiprice The site I'm looking at (mobilephonesdirect) does 24 month contracts of the S20 with 30gb of data for about £36 a month, the s20 Fe 5g with 30gb of data for £34 a month and the Iphone 11 with 100gb of data for £34 a month + £39.99 upfront. 20gb+ a month is all I really need so I'm not fussed about the Iphone having 100, I'm coming from the Huawei p20 pro and was originally looking at the s20 but reports of overheating and battery drainage has scared me, but now the fe 5g has a Snapdragon and bigger battery it looks like the better option. I was only last minute looking at the iPhone because of how they are optimized with apps such as Instagram and Snapchat, but what really stops me is poor storage, lower screen resolution and no 120 Hz

For both same price and $50 more, I would get the oneplus 8. I personally think the 8 is better value and better size than the pro. The pro is a lot heavier and thicker, but only slightly better in terms of specifications and features. I am going to do a full comparison of the oneplus 8 and the s20+ soon

Yes it does. It is random when it overheats. Sometimes, even using Facebook it overheats or just browsing using Chrome. Sometimes, you can play a game for an hour and it won't overheat. So there really isn't an exact formula as to what causes it to overheat.

Battery life is great if you select either 120hz or qhd but not both. You can get a good 6-7 hours of screen time. Full day use isn’t a problem.

Honestly the new S20 Fan Edition is going to be a great phone if it can lower the price point substantially. It will be almost identical to the flagship, but will have gorilla glass 3 instead of 6, which I actually prefer. It will be quite a bit heavier, and a bit thicker. So it will almost feel like the ultra phones in terms of weight and thickness, which is a slight inconvenience. Honestly if the price point can even be 20-30% less, it will be completely worth it!

I'm s20 exynos user, trust me you will feel disappointed, the over heating is so vast, even when charging your phone with fast charging and super fast charging disabled, the issue persist. Been using for 2 months, i think the problem will effect your daily usage after 4 months. The battery life is a joke, definitely not deserving for a 2020 flagship device. The issue got worse after the android 11 one UI 3.0 update.

Issues have largely been fixed since the update

@@ultiprice From what i know the Snapdragon takes better pictures, the battery lasts longer and it's faster.

If you set it to 1440P and 60hz, yes one full day no problem with juice leftover at the end. If you use 1080p 120hz, yes one full day but with moderate use. I cannot say the same for S20 with the smaller battery, but S20 plus shouldn't be a problem especially with the recent software update.

All batteries degrade. But the newer battery technology is getting better and better. I would estimate you can expect 10% degradation every year of use.

I got OneUi 3.1. Still garbage. Please do not waste your money on this particular Exynos chipset.

I'm 9 months late but please do not buy the exynos s20 fe, it is the worse performing exynos 990 out of the s20 series. If i use the phone on mobile data, it gives me no more than 3 hours with no camera use, no GPS, even no games, not even 1 minute. ( plus I use it on 60 hz outside, or otherwise the battery gets sucked the life out of it.) Even on standby, in my pocket, it reached to 60 degrees Celsius, though I live in a hot city so don't know about that.

Also my gf got the snapdragon s20 fe and it is completely a different phone. It gives 6 to 7 hours of heavy use on mobile data

The battery has improved dramatically since the last update, and the overheating issue seems to be fixed! Go for it. Screen on time can be about 8-9 hours depending on what you do.

This is on QHD plus with 60HZ. I think the FE will be decent depending on its price. But it is thicker and heavier, both of which I don't really like.

Have you updated the phone to the latest September firmware that includes wireless Dex? Since I have done that, there is no more overheating on 60hz qhd. But yes it still overheats on 120hz fhd

@@ultiprice yes I have had the update and I am using on 60 it is still there but doesn't get as hot. Happens within 60 sec of unlocking my phone its crazy. My wife has a Huawei Mate 20 and it works so much better it annoys me everytime!

After the updates it hasn't overheated much, and the battery has greatly improved! So I would say go for it at $770!! Let me know how you like it.

I would still do the s20 exynos. Because of the screen refresh and other features. Plus the recent software update has largely fixed the overheating problems.

Man flipkart's BBD sale on s20+ just blew the FE out. I'm confused between s20+ and the pixel 4a. I had ordered the 8 Pro but had to return it due to the display issues on it

S20 fe is out of the picture, can go for S20+ but it too has lots of reported heating issues so I am in doubt. Got the S20+ a day ago. After updating to latest, it still heats up, but nowhere near how much it did before the updates.
