Hi Zdenka, I'm going to be doing some travel vlogs using the s23 Ultra, do you recommend recording 30fps over 24fps and only using 60fps for videos I know I will want to slow down?

If you’re filming yourself as you’re speaking, then film in 24 frames per second. The rest you can film in 60 let’s say, and then slow down some of the parts if you want.

I think it's an awesome camera but I wish there was an option for 120fps to slow mo in post (as I think the slo mo options are not Great) and I think also there should be a 24fps for cinematic look, without having to use the pro mode. Thanks!

Basic questions : When we move to pro mode meaning manual ISO shutter speed high bitrate video is still available?with hevc ? Not long ago it was notification from Samsung that they disable 8k high bitrate video their answer is over power ing cpu i mean are they for real 😒🙄 Lastly what bitrate we have for 4k30 ? Galaxy s22U is poor its hard to cross 25mbit comparing to 50-55 iphone and Sony . So any changes in 23 ultra vs 22 ultra ?

I think its important to note that HDR10+ is giving you access to 10bit 4:2:0 vs 8bit 4:2:0 when its not toggled on.. It also gives you a log-type of curve when you import your HDR10+ videos onto DaVinci Resolve, which gives you more bandwidth for better color grades. You won't see the flat curve when you playback your HDR10+ videos on the phone or when sharing with others as the phone is applying a Rec709/2020 conversion LUT automatically. However, the phone is NOT baking that conversion into the file (except when sharing with others) which is why you have access to the log version when you import it into Resolve. The flattened curve seems similar to Slog, Clog, Dlog, etc etc. In Resolve I set my color management settings to DaVinci Wide Gamut (Color managed) Rec 2020 on project colorspace Rec709 on output colorspace. DaVinci will then automatically apply the correct conversion similar to how the footage previewed on the phone. You don't get access to any of this unless you toggle HDR10+ Videos on in the Advanced Settings under the video section of the native camera app. In other words, HDR10+ serves a much broader purpose besides just the "HDR look". Ultimately it gives you access to 10bit log. From that point you can dial in whatever look you want in post.

I have an issue which all S23 Ultra users might have noticed. Unlike my Oppo Reno and iPhones where camera is opened in lock screen and when camera is switched off and back to lock screen, post which going back to homescreen the camera app is not on. But on S23 Ultra the camera app is still on and I am not sure why?? Then what's the point of accessing camera on the lock screen. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks 😊

Went from s 20 ultra to s 23 ultra samsung gets better every year this is why i ditched apple iPhone in 2020 apple don't change much if so they copy samsung and android features that android had for years and apple says the biggest thing yet?? Not!!!!

I completely agree with you. They are camera app is much advanced, and comparable to Apple. The only problem you run into is if he wants to pay with a gimbal then there are not many of them compatible on the market.
